Reading the rules for hammer of wrath in brb p37 the wording suggests the extra attack is in addition to the normal charge bonus.. Has this been debated/settled yet?

That is what it is. I immagine for things like bikes/jump packs this is them chargeing, like bikes ramming into you.

It is, at base Str of the model with no weapon bonuses. Makes things like Death Company with jump packs even scarier.

Remember that Jump troops only get it if they use the Jump move in the assault phase, and not in the movement phase. So you can only move 6" in the movement phase if you want that HoW attack.

yep it seems like a real buff for units with high base STR - though seraphim get it too *fistpump*. Thanks for the rule clarification.

I wouldn't call it an extra attack per say. It's more reminiscent of impact hits in fantasy. Since it's auto hitting at initiative 10. Saying it's an extra attack makes it sound like you have to roll to hit. Just to clear up.

Would the HoW attack still be step 10 if assaulting into difficult terrain? BRB says INT 1 into terrain. If not, than would it become an "additional" base str attack at Int step 1?
What say you?

As far as i see it the HoW attacks specifically go at Initiative 10 in their rules so they would still go first, the jump units normal attacks however would go at Initiative 1.

Unless they have grenades. Which I can't think of any but orks/nids that these don't come standard.

Nids have grenades?
Just kidding, I know carnifexes get them. I miss my flesh hooks...

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

However the assault into difficult terrain area of the rules refers to no INT modifiers. So is HoW an initiative modifier?

HoW is not an Initiative modifier. It happens at Init 10.

Hammer of Wrath is a special rule that states 'This attack is resolved during the fight sub-phase at the Initiative 10 step' due to this it will always be resolved at the Initiative step 10 even if the charging unit goes through difficult terrain.
