Finished the testmodel for my Raven Guard infantry today, I'll be updating as the squads gets finished here. I apologise for the slightly out of focus parts of the pics but I am using my mobile camera and not a proper one.
Quite pleased with the results even if I rushed the weathering a little. got to do that more properly with the next model.

I have a little hobby-thread going in the P&M section. Some say it's the best blog on Dakka, some don't agree, most belive it would be better if I finished at least one project some time this century and not just kept starting new ones.
Check it out, you just might like it.

the blades look rocking man, love the look of the blood looks like it is about to jam the blade in some areas. Keep it up man

Wherever and whenever they appear they leave only destruction in their wake; they are the Lords of Death, Bringers of War. The Dark Angels.

Oh, you think the darkness is your ally, but you merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see the light until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!- Helen Keller

Thanks, I was a little worried that the gore would be too overbearing but it contrasts nicely with the dark armour, the rest of the squad will probably be a bit lessed splattered with viscera but a few of them -do- have those nifty chainsaw bayonets from FW so they are not entirely safe.

Hmm... I'm working on some RG myself. I like your blue lenses rather than the standard red. May have to steal this

Weathering and spattering's great. Liking the lens colour too.
Chainsword's perfect - makes the model.

Ooh he looks very deadly! I'm not sure about the chainsword pose though.

You could pull it off with a much smaller blade, but the length makes it a little awkward (that's what she said!)

I really like how the blue contrasts with everything else.

very dynamic pose. The paint job is well done, my only suggestion would be if you want a more realistic looking blood....pick up some Tamiya clear coat red paint from your local hobby store (LGS may nto have it) and stipple that onto the chainsword...it looks great!

Very spiff looking. Sword looks great as does the blood splatter. Good use of the Forgeworld bolter too. It suits the RG very nicely.

Looking foward to seeing more.
