Don't get the whole dressing up/cosplay thing myself, but if it floats your boat...

I've never loved SM more than I do after watching that video.
To see them in proper scale is beautiful, and gives a greater depth to imagining them in action. We're gonna need bigger Rhinos.

Some friends and I are going to be at Comic Con for the full 4 days, we will be sure to get some pictures of this! Talk about badass, you have to admire the dedication that these guys had when they built the suits!

Every Dakkanaught gets a 4+ Pinch of Salt save.
When you suffer a Falling Sky hit, roll a D6 - on a 4+ the hit is ignored as per the Pinch of Salt save. On a 1-3 panic insues - you automatically fail common sense tests for the next 2 weeks and get +7 to your negativity stat. -Praxiss

Church: So it is a sword, It just happens to function like a key in very specific situations.
Caboose: Or it's a key all the time, and when you stick it in people, it unlocks their death.

However, these costumes, despite their inaccuracy, are wicked cool. Great job, guys. I'd say awesome job, but you're 5' too short...
Also, where are the mold lines on the shoulder pads and helmets? Why didn't they use Devlin mud on the gold on the chest piece?
Space Marines are in fact 8-9 feet. While there are many variations of this (Chapter Masters for example, or terminator armour), the average space marine is roughly 7 feet tall. The Armour adds an extra 1 to 2 feet. For a nice (unofficial) way of how this might work, I address you to check out: http://www.philipsibbering.com/wh40k/10-01-marine-morphology.shtml .
The picture shown in the OP is a legit canon picture of a space marine (the black and white drawing showing his height).

Yeah, nobody has ever seriously written of 12' tall marines, I have no idea where that figure comes from, and if you really believe that to be the case you seriously need to read more fluff, because at 12' they would be about 5' too tall. I suspect kronk may have been being sarcastic/trolling, but Im not really sure....

He's doing that in a few threads now, hoping to reignite an old "Dakka meme", just report and ignore.

I'm jealous of my friend at Comic Con...I wonder how much it would cost to buy a suit from these guys? A Black Templar suit, complete with hanging chains around the weapons would definitely require a pants change for me...
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I wish the video had shown at least a little bit of the completely costumed character walking around. I'd like to see what they look like in motion, rather than just standing there and turning slightly.

Sigh, if only we brits had an equivalent over here...
Oh yeah, Games Day. Forgot about that.

yah, one BL book said this space marine was so tall he had to have some unrecoverable terminator armour retrofitted to be his power armour (dunno if I used retrofitted right lol!)

Here's hoping I get a glimpse this weekend (living 20 minutes away from the convention center does have some advantages)
