Annoyed Blood Angel Devastator

i'm a blood angels player...
ok so i been reading through forums ect ect and people keep raving about how good bikes/ attack bikes are now in 6th edition.....
i can see their potential with fnp (blood angels) still in effect against ap 1&2 weapons and with toughness 5 they can only be insta-killed by S10. The fact they mobile melta i understand but i still don't see what drastic change has been implemented for people to rave about them.... can anyone clarify this??

5+ jink save
Hammer of wrath extra hits in CC.
With wound allocation being directional, the fact that you can zip around to the side and shoot is very nice.
T5 rather the T4(5) is a nice change, makes the second wound on the attack bike worth a bit more.
Just a lot of nice little upgrades. No one thing that cataputls them to awesomeness, but a series of small boosts that add up to a lot.

As for bikes, they aren't for melee. If that's your goal for them, don't bother.

Bike lists are meant to scoot around and shoot stuff. Then they can assault the remnants to finish them off.
Only command squads can really make decent Assault Bike units, and they are expensive.
T5 basically means they can take FnP against lascannons and Missile launchers now. Pretty cool, especially combined with the 5+ Jink save. Its slightly better then a 4+ save.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines
Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

MM Attack Bikes are incredibly awesome considering their low cost of 50 points a model.
