I have seen the first avengers movie, it was pretty cool but I think they shoulda had more of the avengers in it... does anyone know if they will be making a sequel??

I believe the plan is to do a sequel to Thor, Captain America, Iron Man 2, and possibly a spin off or two for Hawkeye and Black Widow followed by Avengers 2.

The next series of films that follow the Avengers and are the lead in for Avengers 2

Captain America: Winter Soldier
Guardians of the Galaxy


If the Avenger's are "Earth's Mightiest Heroes", then the Guardians are the "Galaxy's Mightiest Heroes". A space 'hero' team like the Avengers that will probably contextualize Thanos, and the cosmic elements of the Marvel universe a bit more for the ramp up to Avengers 2. One of the members, or at least an associate, is Adam Warlock, who was a major character in the Infinity Gauntlet miniseries, of which Thanos is the primary antagonist. In the first Thor film the Infinity Gauntlet is shown in Odin's vault.





There may be an Ant Man movie. Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) made a test reel to pitch it but I believe anything has been made concrete, whereas the rest of this is all from official announcements, many from the SDCC last weekend.

The cast lineup includes Drax the Destroyer, Rocket Raccoon, Gamorra, Groot and Star Lord.

Damn, I haven't read much Marvel in reccent years but I loved the Infinity Watch series back when I was collecting a number of years ago.

Shame Moondragon is gone, she was cool as well.

Of course there's going to be a sequel. Why would they make the entire movie one giant Xanatos Gambit by Loki if there wasn't?

They are and I'm pumped. The movie and those leading up to it were seriously awesome. They did a really good job of getting me invested in universe, even as a non-comic book nerd. Really looking forward to the rest of it.
