Can a vehicle HQ become a Warlord?

I don't see why not. If Bjorn is your only HQ model in your primary detachment then, by default, he would be your Warlord and would get to roll on the Warlord Traits chart.

There's nothing against it, it just hast to be the hq with the highest leadership.

I think if he is the only hq choice it's fine, since he hasn't a leadership stat listed.

Just looked at the Warlord Table...

Most of the abilities do not benefit Bjorn at all, but some, like making him scoring are amazing.

Yes he can be your warlord, as long as he's your only HQ from your primary detachment.

Actually, a lot of the personal chart benefits him, as he doesn't come with Counterattack standard, and the bonus VP for characters killed in challenges is cool, as he does well in that situation, let alone the scoring one.

Outflanking is another cool option for him.

Thought vehicles got given LD10? Or is that just for psyker tests?

If he doesn't have a Ld stat, he can't be your warlord. Character with highest Ld is your warlord. He doesn't meet those requirements.

Actually it is the highest LD HQ character. If Bjorn is his only HQ choice, then by default he has the highest leadership, even if he doesn't have a value in LD.

He is a special character and as such he can be a warlord.

Special Characters are all characters. He can issue and accept challenges the same as Mephiston can.

The fact that number 6 on personal traits says "your warlord is a scoring unit, even if he is a vehicle" tells me that warlords can be vehicles.

A special character is implied to be a character, my bad. They can be a warlord but it doesn't say they are a character. Gonna open a new thread.

Wait what? Special characters are characters?? where in the book does it say this?

I ask as Sammael is a special character but NOT and IC or a character, its most definately not in the index i have looked.

Also not to mention they use Mephiston (a special character) as an example in the characters section.

The index will only indicate non-special character units, as all special character units are characters, so there's no need to list them in the index.

What about a list like the FW Armoured company list?

HQ choices are all vehicles...
