So i was playing 40k the other day with my nurgle daemons and my daemonic assualt went horribably wrong and i had three units of plaguebearers completely defenseless, i was shot at and assualted by nasty units loads but they just would not die because i kept passing my 5+ saves that whole game, it was un-real, i reckon my opponent though my dice were loaded or something but i actuallly found it was uncomfortable to deny my opponent the kills he should have got so quickly.

Also when i was teaching the game to a friend of mine a few weeks ago i was trying to go easy but every assualt and every shooting attack went so well he hardly got a chance to use half of his units and i suppose i seemed harsh and over competitive, when i didn't really expect my 15 warpfire shots to wipeout his 5 man tactical squad.

Has anyone else had experiences where their luck was actually far over the top?

Yeah, thats the only way i win. This guy was trying to destroy a landraider with 3 multi melta attack bike, none hit. He then tries the same on my AC/MM landspeeder(which destoyed two Russes in the same game) didnt hit.
And then there was what has become known as the murderbrawl.
2 legionairres in combat with 15 marines. Both survive.

I was playing a game of warmahordes on tuesday with my friend. He was cryx and I was using my trollbloods.
We were both doing decently but when it came to roll my tough rolls, i kept nailing the 5s and 6s i needed.
At the end of the game which i won. i ended up passing 11/12 of the rolls. he blamed it on the "magic pond" i was rolling into lol.

The absolutely most insane thing ive ever seen in my life though was seeing my apocalypse partner for 40k roll 26 5s and 6s cover saves (at the same time. one roll) to save his heirophant which had 1 wound left. the other team was livid. i think id be too

I have a friend who insists I have installed "plastic magnets" into my gaming board because whenever we play he cant make a save.

Even his 2+ terminators will fail a ridiculous amount of saves something in the realm of 50% failure rate on 2+ saves

It always bugs me that whenever I try to make a point about something being inefficient or just plain bad it'll invariably end up doing awesomely, while my usually dependable units will be utterly pants.

The typical example will be the single tactical squad in a rhino I play in my 2k Blood Ravens list. Usually my assault marines will die horribly, yet my tacticals will rock up on Turn 4, jump out their rhino and end up taking the game winning objective.

Best ive had recently was 9 artillery dice direct hits in a row. Luckily my opponent is a mate, so it was only a little bit of messing about saying that my dice were loaded..... And then he rolls it and the 1st is a direct hit. The rest of the game it scattered though.

10 Dire avengers bladestorm a lone Chaos sorcerer of nurgle w/wings. Farseer gives them guide, and dooms the sorcerer.
28 wounds...So I grab 28 dice and roll them, started looking expecting the guy to die...I failed 1 out of 28 3+ saves in one roll.
My opponent I think at that point had a mild seizure because he made some really strange noises.

Another time was Chaos vs Eldar. Eldar players opens up with Dark Reapers on a Chaos squad in cover (not that it mattered) killing all but 2.
They pass their morale, and fire 1 frag missle all the way across the table at the dark reapers. Getting 3 wounds, he then failed 2 saves, and his morale check.
The Dark Reapers ran off the table.

Sometimes my friends try to make a point about units I choose not being worth their points and I just sit them on the high ground and blow up a vehicle a turn. Insane good luck, cause it's like a hardish vehicle to destroy ( av 13-14).

Yeah I did have this recently at a friendly tournament against a fellow Dakkanaught no less.

My Mech Eldar opponent (who lets face it was going to struggle against a hybrid IG force) set on the table then lost first turn to me at which point my luck really kicked in and every thing including the MoO landed spot on target.

The dust cleared on my turn two and there wasn't allot left of his army. He put a brave face on it but it was clearly never going to be fun for him and it really drained the enjoyment from experience for me seeing that as another battlecannon shot went bang on target.

He has such a beautiful army but it went off table pretty quickly which always seems like such a pity.

On the flip side, in the last round of the same tourny fateweaver, soul grinder and a few Greater Deamons did much he same to me in the last round. It was actually more frustrating than anything as you can be so limited to options in some circumstances in 40k.

Relic, Guy wrecks my Razorback with the team with the relic.
I disembark behind my Defense line, HE was hoping to asault me when i got out, but the way i position he would have to charge AROUND a squad of mine. With termies and lysander.
Also his terminator squad got two deepstrike mishaps in a row and go delayed.

In the closing months of 5th, I had a wounded, lone Hive Guard make 10 cover saves in a row from a squad of angry angry lootas (who were remarkebly accurate.) He died anyway later, but his sacrifice bought me time as it took a huge amount of shooting to down him, sparing my army. (It was a kill point game)
However, no "loaded dice" accusations were made, as my first roll of the game had been 6 1s out of 10 dice, when the same lootas had targeted my Tyrannofex. Talk about a horror moment...
