So im loking through the Imperial armour books ecause i like some of the Tau battle suits and i would like to use some.
But does each Imperial armor only contain the rules in that Edition? Or is each subsequent one have the rule from previous editions aswell?

On moon miranda.

Each book typically has rules for whatever battle is described in the title, e.g. Siege of Vraks is Vraksian renegades and Death Korps armies. Doom of Mymeara is Eldar Corsairs, etc.

As for edition changes, they do update and reprint some, IA:5 for sure has been updated and reprinted since its 4E release, but I don't believe all have been updated like that. None of been reprinted with 6E rules.

The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

I don't believe they've had update reprints, FW's just been using their PDF Updates to fix those IIRC.

I know my lgs lets Tau (and some other armies) players use the IA models without using the IA rules

Remember to always ask your opponent if he willing to use IA rules vs you, I know in my lgs. No one plays using IA rules, and majority refuse to play against people using IA armies

which battlesuits are we talking about here? IA3 has the rules for the xv81/84/89, PDF for Shas'o R'myr, IAA2 for xv9s, IAA second edition for Shas'o R'Alai

Noone at my FLGS has any problems with FW models, or rules.

If anyone disallows it, really they're being kindof a tightarse. It's just a friendly game, after all. Only time it matters is during Tournaments, where it's dictated by the TO.

I think i will just buy the models and say they are regular suits. like R'myr and a generic comander with a shield and plasma gun.
