Simple question what do you guys say is the better choice? Just curious hit the poll and maybe give a brief reason why you chose what you did. I am currently in the middle of making a Space Wolves list and I cannot decide for the life of me which to run.
Thanks!

Drop pods. Drop pods any day, all day and every day. You get were you need to be, without any of that disembarking stuff that 6th added, you have counter attack so it doesn't matter if you get charged.
Also rhinos are much easier to kill than drop pods, the less victory points you give up, the better. Also drop pods ensure your going to get the linebreaker bonus at the end of every mission, hopefully.

Pretty much this. I run 3 pods. Two with full GH, one with a dread. Only once with a horrible scatter have my guys not been where I wanted them to be. But now with the 6" move, even bad scatter doesn't seem to matter too much.
The fact that you can no longer assault out of a rhino combined with the fact that you can't use an empty one to contest objectives, I really don't see a tactical use for them anymore.

2-3 pods should be a staple in every competitive space wolves list in 6th ed.

Am I the only one that will still just camp objectives with my troops in a rhino. Simply enough they keep your opponent rolling against armor tables instead of wounding models. If you want to get your units into the face of the enemy then yea probably drop pods are more your style. but basic troops that are just objective holders will sit in rhinos as long as possible listening to fire pelt off the hull. This might only work with the people I play with though

But why sit in a rhino when you can sit in a razor back?
10 grey hunters sitting tight just shooting two special weapons a turn doesn't seem too cost effective. Especially since the max those guns will shoot is 24" (if plasma). An assault cannon or las cannon razorback I'd think do more damage and the cost if offset by not having to buy the other 5 guys.

Guess idk grey hunters very well. Im a C:SM player so sitting in a rhino for 4 turns doesnt sound bad to me I only usually have 1 weapon worth really shooting in a Tactical squad.

The five other guys tend to add some survivability after the rhino or razorback explodes. In 6th where if the enemy want to get rid of that razorback in the way, they can glance it to death.
