I've been meaning to paint some of my Blood Angels up as the different Blood Angel sub-chapters (e.g Flesh Tearer Assault squad , Angels Encarmine Devastators ect.) and use them all in one army , but i' not sure its legal now that the Allies system is in place. The reason I want to do this is because it would add a lot more colour and variety to my army on the tabletop. And it would make for some interesting Fluff (e.g The final stand of the Blood angels against Ka'banda , and the Tyranids on Baal.)

What do you think of the idea, and does anyone know if its even legal to do so?

I like my Music how I like my Titans , heavy , and Metal!

while its perfectly legal, I'd probably not do it, to avoid being somewhat confusing.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Especially if you arent using space marine allies. It's fairly easy to understand that all the space marines are blood angels.

Now if you were to go the opposite and have say BA and Fleshtearers as BA and then Angels Encarmine and some other chapter as allies then I might take issue with that.

Wouldn't pay any mind to it. Space marines are space marines. It'd also be a pretty cool way to denote which squad is which.

I think it would be cool to do that. My suggestion would be to do them as squads instead of mixing them... Especially an Encarmine Death Company. I have always loved the white DC when they are done correctly. You could have a rainbow coalition, as long as its wysiwyg for a big game I don't care if they are pink and purple polkadot...
