Alright do today was the feast of blades tournament at my hobby store and in one of my games I fought a grey knight armies wih a squad of 10 pallies and a squad of 10 pallies and a few power armour squads,, norm gk cheese you know, well anyways i had 60 boys in 3 seperate battlewangs and a squad of 7 nobs in a trukk along with a dakka jet and 2squads of 11 lootas and some grots for fun, so turn 2 the 7 man squad deepstrikes and shoots psycannon and storms at one of the squads of the lootas, kills all of them, next I go, shoot that squad nobs assult them and rape them, later on in the climatic battle between his ten man squad, vs my nobs, leader, all the boys, +the shooting by my entire army, I manage to do 1 wound in close combat with my ork boys,(out of 39 wounds 1 fail OMG!), after all the close combat, shooting, and my 6 power claws going into them I manage to do 3 wounded ones and 3 dead ones, he made a crazy amount of saves, to make a long story short he won since all my scoring units were engaged and couldnt hold any objectives, I still dont know how he makes 38 out of 39 armour saves and 9 out of 13 power claws wounds in close combat, am I the only ork player who cant freakin handle squads of ten, I cant even kill them when I have a far better then statistics chance when I fight these dam things, god why is every non-vanilla marine/imperium army so dam OP, it makes me so pissed that whatever the newest army to come is is far better then any other army, why cant it be more balanced, like warmachine

I ramble when im mad, srry, ive fought him several times, he tipically still rapes with those squads by looking at enemies, this isnt just due too a lucky roll even when we roll statistically I still have a bad chance of killin these squads, I can handle squads of 5 just not squads of 10

GK are cheese but they aren't much harder to kill than normal marines. Sounds like you just got unlucky. That army doesn't sound too overpowered. Not like 60 purifiers and 40 psycannons.

Me too, unfortunantly I fail to find it in my codex.
Seriously, you've fallen into the classic trap. GKs are the army that 's over anything and everything in melee combat.
If you are dumb enough to fight GKs on terms of their choosing you will lose.
Paladins are extremely durable against buckets of anything that doesn't ignore their armor, of course they pay through the nose.
And Purifiers are the ultimate crowd control. They are the hard counter for mobs. If you throw mobs at them, the Purifiers will win.
Fight the battle GKs are bad against.
Those 26 point Purifiers die just as easily as a 16 point tactical marine. Zero extra durability for almost twice the cost.

Except for that whole cleansing flame thing....wiping out half a squad before they get any swings on you adds a little durability.

A little, not a whole lot.
Keep in mind it allows armor saves. That means its practically useless against anything with a decent save. Its very focused against Orks and Nids.

First of all, deep breath. I completely understand your situation, as we've all had frustrating games in the past, but ranting about it online probably isn't going to get you very far. To be frank, most people just don't care.
This being said, that Paladin Deathstar was easily 700+ points and is well-designed to absorb as much damage as possible against the greatest number of sources. Charging into it with all of your troops —especially in an objective game— is playing exactly into his hands as then he can use the rest of his army (small though it may be) to clean up the rest of the board.
To make things worse, although the 3x rule is probably in effect here, it sounds like he rolled quite well and was particularly lucky during this game.
Plenty of lists have taken my GKs apart and they weren't necessarily 'new' codices. I don't know your playstyle, but I wager if you played that exact game a second time you would make some different tactical choices. That's the most important part of 40k, in my opinion, because you WILL lose games badly and it will seem like there's nothing you can do against a beatstick of a list. Don't let that negative attitude cripple you, however, since that's one of the most effective ways a strong player can stay on top.
Figure out what worked, what didn't, and what you could have done better. Next time you'll be ready and you won't be such easy prey.
Good luck.

No offense. That said, here I go.
This is 40k General Discussion.
The Original Post sounds more like a long-winded complaint. Dakka isn't a diary, and it's pretty exhausting sifting through all the 6th edition whining and "Wahhh I got beat, this guy is SOOO TFG". Try to at least have some relevance.
Honestly, if anything, your rant/post fits more in Batreps.

How do you get 40 psycannons with 60 Purifiers?
Seems like 6x 10 Purifiers with 6x 4 psycannons.

I play GK and can't get a win with them since 6th ed came about.
I find that my opponents have armies tailored to destroying GK utterly and if you can destroy a GK army decisively, you will have a very good chance at defeating other forces.
Orks are a prime example of this. They are a great army, but have a weakness against GK. Play to your strengths, which for Orks is now shooty mobs and for Gorks sake take MANs, they carve up GK paladins pretty good.

Well, I'll take an ally detachment to balance weaknesses of the GK's.

You play Orks, an army that is not only unable to field many AP2 weapons, that's a problem faced by several armies. However, there is one thing that you can do, take allies! Imperial Guard can take Plasma Cannons on quite durable tanks, weaponry that can reduce even the mightiest Grey Knight to a pile of ash, or take Chaos Space Marine terminators, who with the Mark of Nurgle can be T5 with a 2+ save.

Jeez, sorry mom. You're not adding anything to this conversation either, maybe you can whine about it in a more appropriate topic.
Also, saying 'no offense' before you say something offensive kinda' defeats the purpose as well as reveals your true intent: to offend with a little caveat backpedal saved in the pocket when confronted. It's weak, it's disingenuous and I find its use offensive.
Dear Dakka Diary,
Someone was mean to me on the internet. Why can't they be nicer?
