First off, I didn't vote for Obama, I'm not going to vote for Obama, but I just laugh when I see gak like this:

Seriously? A random guy calls in and now the burden of proof is on Obama? I mean I know its Rush Limbaugh, but how are people actually duped into believing this crap? I heard less about Bush pussying out of war then what Obama gets. Just thought Id share for the laugh.

A man should not be allowed to just make up a claim without proof and try to put the burden of proof on his victim, right?

So you'll agree that Mitt Romney should not have to show his tax returns to disprove Sen. Reid's wild claim. Right?

Its up to this guy to show the proof otherwise, which is unlikely as grades are private material. Not even your parents can view your grades without your consent, if you are over 18.

Now if this guy was a professor it would be a breech of privacy, although he would have legal access to them he can't release them.


But if this guy was one of his college buddies and did more then phone in an obscure claim he might be telling the truth. One that the president would be foolish to ignore.

And yeah, Mitt is under no obligation to release his tax returns.

Ok, First, if its a lecture and he doesnt show up, its not a big deal. So no proffessor will cover for him, he he did the work he would get a grade.

Well we know nothing about it actually. It evidently was none of our business. high school hazing should be fully explored though for all non Democratic candidates.

Well, it's very important to some elements on the right wing - a very small and vocal minority, I hope - that Obama did poorly in school. A common meme is the thought that some percentage of Mr. Obama's criticisms are rooted in racism. While I don't agree with that sentiment - there are some really, really legitimate reasons for members of both parties to be less-than-enthused with Mr. Obama - this one argument, the "was a poor student" one; that one I do find it difficult to extract racism from. Apparently the idea is that it's impossible for him to have done well without some sort of affirmative action, which I think says more about the people who promulgate this then they realize.

In addition to thinking this could hardly matter less since he's a actually been president for 42 odd months, and that is probably a more fertile ground for useful criticism then what he got on his Into to Spanish midterm when he was like 19 - I also can't help but think that, transcripts unseen, common sense engaged, objectively speaking, affirmative action might get you into an Ivy League school, but it's not going to graduate you with honors.

Even if you're trying to claim "well that's what liberals did to Romney", it's STILL a bad argument (even ignoring that I don't actually recall that being done); Obama graduated magna cum laude according to the school's records, IE, "with great honor". That's all the proof he needs until someone else presents some actual proof otherwise. The questioning of Romney's ethics is a completely different subject and irrelevant to this discussion.
