I am not buying it, assuming you play more then your little brother, a decent collection of individuals and dont cheat I am not buying it.... Stating you are 100-0, or undefeated (and hence your codex is better then mine) or that your tactics are sooo flawless that you have gone undefeated since you where conceived....

Its the same as claiming your dad is a space pirate astronaut with bulging muscles and super powers... those are Chaos Marines, and they get alllll the ladies...

I was undefeated in 6th....for 4 games. I am with you though. We have all rolled 3 1's for terminator armor saves against ork shootas before. No one is THAT good/lucky.

Are you on a losing streak?.......

I suppose it wouldn't help to tell you that I haven't lost a battle in four years.

Have you played in the last four years Boggy

I have had good streak recently, but its been against other players still figuring out 6th. Overall I often fall in the 33% wins 33% draws and 33% losses if I am playing a fair group and we are trying our best.

We all lie a little, we all like stretching the truth but a lot of people on the forums stretch it like silly putty then places it on a platter.

It's not impossible.

Some people are just really good, after playing for 10+ years. Someone with a couple years of Wargaming is most likely not going to beat someone that still has the Eldar Libby model from RT and uses it as his commander. The games might get closer over time, but a close win is still a win.

Not every single win means the other guy got tabled.

And I'm not defending my own record. I've won one game since 6th started( my only game so far) and I've won two games in the past year.

Yah I don't buy this either. I understand if you play multiple armies and are undefeated with one of them maybe. But everyone loses. EVERYONE. I recently watched the only person I haven't seen lose in the last 6 months get beat up pretty bad in a game this weekend. It's a fact of life, you cannot win every time unless your purposely playing people who don't know how to play. Or your cheating....

Time spent playing doesn't make you better then someone newer. I've seen people playing their third or fourth game club people who've played for 10+ years. it's all about understanding the game and playing correctly.

DashofPepper pretty much won 75% of the tournaments he attended within months of starting playing.
Tom Kopach (sp?) the 16 year old kid has something like a 95% win rate in top level tournaments.

People really ARE that good. Hell, in the 15 years I've played 40k I've played against 2 people that are straight up better then me, another 3-5 that are about equal and hundreds that were worse.

+1

I hate peope who think they're proving something by saying they're 'perfect' with their chosen army, which typically tends to be one of flavour of the month armies, or else an army that's stayed top tier throughout an entire edition... It's a lot harder to win consistantly for example if you play say, Tyranids or Tau than it is to crush all with say IG or SW's.

Now I myself am at the opposite end of the spectrum, as in, my dice are so bad that I manage to lose well over 50% of the time!
Hell, in my most recent tournament last month, I managed to kill my Librarian with perils wounds in three out of sixe games! Beat that feat! (and Tigurius managed to wound himself 3 times as well...)

Still, my Tzeentch Daemon army always wins in the end... Because everything that happened simply went exactly according to Tzeentch's great plan!

I wont deny that some people do win more then others, you can account for redundancies and know how to setup and play a table, but in a game of dice... luck cannot be controlled

@Experiment 626
This is the reason why I always wanted to play Orks. They win, they win, they loose they win, they draw, they win.

I lost my first game of 40k, so Its impossible for me to claim to be undefeated

6+ = 6/36 | Reroll 1s = 7/36 | Reroll Misses = 11/36 ||||||| 5+ = 12/36 | Reroll 1s 14/36 | Reroll Misses = 20/36 ||||||| 4+ = 18/36 | Reroll 1s 21/36 | Reroll Misses = 27/36
3+ = 24/36 | Reroll 1s 28/36 | Reroll Misses = 32/36 ||||||| 2+ = 30/36 | Reroll 1s 35/36 ||||||| Highest of 2d6 = 4.47

I've not seen anyone on Dakka dakka claiming a three figure undefeated streak. I play about 3 games every 2 weeks. I play the occasional regional or local tourney, run a diverse local club of about 12 members and will play strangers in pick up games at either of the two FLGS. I stand by my record. In individual matches (no teams) I am on a 11 month win streak and went 3 months+ in the fall without losing a single unit. Why on earth would anybody lie about their record? It gains you nothing, it certainly draws more ire than praise, and we get whiners throwing poo at us [cough] because we win.

If you don't believe someone's record fine, but there is some skill at this game, and you can plan/play around bad luck. I'm sorry if this makes you feel sad or like less of a special flower, but it's true.

I only play at the local store so most of these are friendly games;

at the end of 5th; my blood angels list was very good; it is largely down to +1 init on furious charge, FNP was 4+ and any power weapon can kill terminators;

coming to 6th ed; I think the same list will keep losing.

when someone say the are undefeated; they are lying; you learn when you fail.

People hate playing me because they say that I am a deadzone magnet for dice. they roll awesome with their dice the entire time (maybe because some of them cheated or picked dice thats heavy on the 1 side, idk) but as soon as they fight me its 1's and 2's the whole way. I've lost my fair share of battles but I seem to be good at what ever army I pick up.

There are also a number of other users who post blatantly false tallies - even the best players I know will lose the odd game, GW core games being the random beasts that they are, even the best laid plans can go awry because of the fickle gods of fate.

Perhaps a little bit inflammatory, but I agree with the sentiment..

Win, lose, who cares as long as you have fun playing. Ever since 6th I've been on a losing streak for now. Might be because I'm trying out different units under the new rules to see how they play now. And my catachan were never built to win they were just built to look and feel catachan. I do admit that there is one opponent that I have beaten every single time we've played but we've still had fun playing. He likes to makes lists in the manner "I like this unit so I'll take it. That one is cool also so I'll add it" and I think that is a good way to play. As long as you like to play your army not caring wether you win or lose is the point. Although I do admit that games that end up one sided are not that fun anymore.

For me it depends which army I'm using (I have 7).
Deathwing=about 50% win rate
Ravenwing=75% win rate
Chaos=50% win rate
Space wolves=75% win rate
Tau=30% win rate
Eldar=30% win rate
Orcs= undefeated.

Orcs are my newest army. They have gone about 30 games without a lose.

Isn't it W/D/L? Like every major sporting event? Or is this something else that Europe and the States do differently?
