After getting a lot of help making what I think is a decent Black templars Army, I decided to tweak it depending what I was going against or if I wanted to add flair.
Here is the Original List:

Total - 1496
Bionics was just a filler, it can be replaced with a teleport homer if I want to deep strike the terminators (unlikely)
This list seems well rounded in my opinion (thanks Ambrosius). the Terminators will walk and shoot everything. The Assault marines can use their obsurd amount of attacks on almost anything, or sacrifice them for an ap1 str 8 hit (one per model). Horde Crusaders is just cool.

Now I felt this list was a little lacking with new options from 6th edition. So here are the tweaks:

Flyers seem great. They are best for anti flyers, and better when there are no enemy flyers. Having 2 optimizes effectiveness and having 2 helps against priority shooting for survivability. This seems like a nice cheap way to add some flair to the army.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but I have read that a vendetta cant deploy from reserves while transporting a unit. To me thats a little absurd, and I havent found any claims of that being true in the transport section of the rule book or flyer section or dedicated transport section. Its not In the codex either so I am under the safe assumption that I can carry models inside the vendettas in reserve. For this tactic I would keep units inside for long as possible and drop them to contest/capture objectives or get into good position for some fun grenade fire (not the best weapon, but its fun)

Not a big change to the original list, just adding the Black Templar staple. Vindicators are great with strength 10 and ap 2. Since enemy players are starting to take more terminators and the like because of the power weapon debuff, finding ap 2 is important. Another good thing is that the large template is great on hordes, and the strength 10 is instant kill on most characters. Best buff though would have to be the strength 10 being applied to the whole template when shooting vehicles and the ap 2 bonus on penetrating hits. Scrapping some points for extra armour is an idea, but shaken/stunned can only happen on pen hits now. The PotMS seems good, but too pricey. I can shoot after moving 6" anyway.

Anyway, any C&C is appreciated. if you have any tips please post and if you have any experience with similar lists, please post on how effective it was for you.

Why would you not take Tank Hunters ability on your terminators? Being able to re-roll your armor penetration result of a glance or lower is pretty awesome for a str 8 weapon.

See, thats a really good buff that templars got, but I couldnt find room for tank hunters in the standard list. I also realize that its just a reroll, and I will just hound on things with rockets until they go down. Its hard to not glance anything with str 8.
Also, though my Terminators are long range anti tank, my assault squad is primary assault vehicles/monstrous creatures because of the melta bombs and reroll misses. (If I feel like I can take it. Im not going to charge a swarmlord with full wounds)

Not sure about horde black templars that is a bit 4th edition.
But if that is what you want then cool. Also assault marines do not do it for me, they are not completely useless but I feel you need something a little stronger.

I would find the points for potms for the vindicators. I feel the vindicator list just lacks antiflyer for one, then you have a weird mech footslogging going on, which with a short range range tank just is not right.

The second list looks pretty smart.
Yes, aeroplanes can start with people on board. Yes, aeroplanes still have to go into reserve.
As such do not go for vets. Use a platoon, then you will have 3 scoring IG units to put on the 2 aeroplanes however you see fit.
Also the heavy bolter sponsons are worth it.

There is an obvious suggestion, which is swap over allies and allied, or however you want to put it.
So you can bring more than 1 unit of aeroplanes, which will be a lot healthier for you. Firstly they become two targets, they can attack two targets, they go different ways, et cetera.

Also this means you do not(you can argue amongst yourselves)need a EC. Then you can bring a command squad with 2CML, termies with 2 CML as desired.
Personally I would use IG to do most the scoring and spend free points on typhoons but you can bring the 2 horde units of BT if you want.
This will still be virtually the list you have written above but just more stream lined.
