So lots of new units including 2 new tanks and a flier for the Marines. Hints of an Imperial Agents codex (promised since the 1990s) and either a Sisters Codex or at least a plastic release for them. And even a hint of Genestealer cults (cult hybrid and patriarch).

So anyone want to work on some wild mass guessing for what these units will be?

Good thing Marines get something in the future, they are kind of lacking in choices..

Looking at their stuff most is self-explanatory but these are worth a look:

- Space Marine Land Avenger
- Space Marine Land Avenger Vulkan / Land Avenger Invictus

Figure this is the long rumored tank between the Rhino and the Land Raider AV12 or 13, modest transport.

- Space Marine Praetor Warmachine

Persumablely a marine super heavy. A walker we can hope?

- Space Marine Defender Upgrade Pack

???

- Space Marine Gale Claw Supremacy Fighter

Another flier. Will it look even worse than the Chibi Hawk and Chibi Hawk Junior? GW have set themselves a high bar.

- Space Marine Land Raider Medusa

Another variant? Presumably the DAs will get a plasma variant, so maybe a melta or missile version? Maybe something that sacrifices transport for ordinence, like oh, a Medusa cannon? I really didn't make that connection till now...

I'm bummed that the Eldar list doesn't contain anything that sounds like the Knight-level model that they were supposed to be getting. Although the Spirit Warrior should be fun. If it's anything like some of the old version in 1e/2e it's sort of like a Wraithseer.

Used to be Wraithlords were just Eldar Dreadnoughts, with a guy inside. A Spirit-Warrior was a dread run by the Infinity Circuit, and they turned into the 'Wraithlords" of today. But the twist was that they could have psychic powers if their main personality used to be a Warlock or Farseer.

I hope Space Marines don't get an AV 12 transport. That's sort of the guard's thing.
Or at least if they do get one, it should be a gak-tonne more expensive than the guard's, with a load of tricks and effects - maybe an assault vehicle?

The important thing is there are no plastic Battle Sisters. The Seraphim/Patronica sounds like a new plastic kit as does the Exorcist.Catafalque. The rest is probably Finecast although the Repentia could go either way.

In the main thread there were codes indicating plastic or resin, the new SoB squad was listed as plastic.

But remember this list does not start till a year from now Summer 2013, and might actually cover 2 or more years.

If it's even real.

So no celebrating just yet.

What seems to be new models in green. Tons of new models ands a few redone. Terrain kits, most likely an "allies" release, codices for Eldar, Orks, waves of chaos, Tau and small droplets of IG and DE, plastic sisters and more marines.

The one kit standing out there, to me, the mechanicus/khorne combo could hint on a expanded logic of double use kits where its no longer faction specific but model specific! This would grant us more bitz to bling out a unit as we may get 2 kits instead of 1, but surely its like the first batch and small units of 5 models with not enough parts to build both variants.( shared or limited parts like the necron boxes had ).
Plus, more fliers, more vehicles, more mid-sized models who a bigger than basic infantry but no titan.

Can live with zero plastic super-heavy-walker if i can have Iron Hand characters, mechanicum units and refitted and rearmed sisters. Just get someone who is able to design a non-chibi vehicle to do the SM flier.

Yes, but "Space Marines" now encompass 1/4 of the armies in 40K. Marines in general are the last thing that needs more "stuff" as they already get the majority of the attention.

Well, as I said, I don't want more Space Marine stuff. Regrettably, we will always get more and more because GW want to sell stuff to their (many, many) Space Marine players. Which is presumably why our established fast attack choices are worthless compared with the aforesaid stupid-looking and undercosted flyer.
