Tell me what you think. This comic is what happens when you have played the same buddy WAY too many times.

It's nothing too new or exciting imho. Also, the term "Decimated" is not used like that.

Meh.

I know the comic is supposed to be crude, but the characters look like inbred stickmen.

The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy.

What's wrong with his use of the word "decimated?"

It's funny because it's true. That's pretty much every game ever.

Eric
It means "one in every ten" yet a common modern misuse of the term is to denote that almost everything has been wiped out, when the term does not denote this.

"One in every ten" is actually only one definition of the word. In fact, if you look it up in any of the major dictionaries, they list "destroying a large part of" (in some wording or another) as a definition of the word.
Check out Miriam-Webster, Oxford, freedictionary.com or dictionary.com websites to check for yourself.

That's the only part that's relevant. It's been used incorrectly long enough that the meaning has been "officially" changed from the original intent.

On topic; Are you looking for feedback on the comic? I think it'd be more effective without the final panel; it removes any "bite" from the humour. You're stretching out the punchline unnecessarily.

Decimation does literally mean one in ten. However in ancient Greece battles tended to have much lower fatality rates than found in modern warfare. Battles were typically fought in the summer months because the fighting men were needed for planting in the spring and harvest in the fall. Losing one in ten men in battle would often seriously impede a city/state's ability to harvest crops leading to possible famine/starvation, and thus was a devestating and costly defeat. That is why the term has become a synonym for a crushing defeat etc. That is why in adopting a greek word to convey an idea, most modern dictionaries will use the word as we've adopted it, rather than the literal greek translation.

It's actually something from the Roman armies, a way of punishing the troops, by killing one in every ten. But eh, I've been warned to let it slide.

Nice comic. You should have left out the last panel though, like Mastiff said. And I think the greens you used are much too bright.

But the joke's a nice one!

LOOK!! a shameless self-promotion! (gasp!)
