With the LoS rule and all that I mean. Are they even worth taking anymore?

What about the other assassins?

I dunno anymore about the Vindicare anymore, Look out Sir really jacks him up. He is still an effective tank hunter but his anti infantry mode took a hit.

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

I never brought him for the character sniping ability anyway. He's there to pop tanks and remove special weapons.

And he's not bad at killing Sergeants. they only have 4+ LoS.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

He was worth too little before, now it is about right. Yes, he is not as good as before.

As Grey Templar said: he still pops heavy armor, which few other GK choices can do at range, and he can still snipe special weapons.

Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.

Difference the heavy armour isn't around for him to pop much anymore. Look Out Sir also ruined his day, to the point he is relegated to killing special weapons (he can't even reliably snipe Fists anymore). This is a handy ability, but not one that is worth 145pts.

Agree with everyone else, he is still one of the more effective anti armor weapons for the GK (not considering allies) also still pretty effective at taking out special weapons. I'll continue to use him in my GK army

The main drawback of him now compared to 5th (when his real anti-character use was to remove invunerable saves) is that most cover is only 5+ now (so 4+ with Stealth). Now granted you will often be able to pop him in a handy ruin for a 3+ Stealthed save, but for me he only really becomes properly viable when taken alongside a techmarine who can upgrade that ruin and he then has 2+ cover, which increases his survivability to the point where he's a lot less likely to be targeted and obliterated in turn one or two.

Follow these two simple rules to ensure a happy Dakka experience:

Rule 1 - to be a proper 40K player you must cry whenever a new edition of the game is released, and always call opposing armies broken when you don't win.

Rule 2 - Games Workshop are always wrong and have been heading for bankrupcy within 5 years since the early 90s.

I wouldn't go out and buy it for him, but if you are using an aegis defense line already, it's an ok piece of cover for him. 3+ with stealth and if you really come under fire you can go to ground.

I agree that a techmarine provides the best synergy though.
