I am wondering what builds for crisis suits that the people on dakkadakka use i know i use these 3 load-outs

one group i have outfitted with TL plasma rifles and targeting arrays

another i have outfitted with TL missile pods with targeting arrays

and the last group i have with TL flamers and a burst cannon

i my typical army i have either a hammer head or a group of broadsides for a dedicated anti vehicle and if i am tight on points i usually attach my commander to the plasma rifle group with the same load out but with him i add a fusion blaster instead of a targeting array

i am wondering if this is a decent build for a tau army

any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

You're currently using:
Burning Eye+: TL Plasma Rifles w/ Targetting Array. (These'll be good at anti-any-infantry and harrassing light vehicles (AV10/11)
Deathrain+: TL Missile Pods w/ Targetting Array. (see below)
and Heatwave+: TL Flamers + Burst Cannon (These will be pretty much pure Anti-Infantry. Also pity a squad that charges at these guys.)
All of which are fine imo. Solid single-purpose loadouts.

The two most common 'standard' loadouts for suits are:
Deathrain+: TL Missile Pods w/ Targetting Array.
Good for anti-tank up to AV13 (ideally 10-12), and generally killiness with each suit boasting 2 Str7 AP4 shots.

Fireknife: Plasma Rifle + Missile Pod w/ Multi-Tracker.
Good all-rounder, if a little pricey. Effective ant-vehicle, effective anti-meq and anti-teq, it's 2 Str6 AP2 and 2 Str7 AP4 shots

Though ultimately I think it's up to you.
The best advice is ensure the weapons are complimentary in either range or function.

i.e. - Fusion Blaster + Missile Pods = OK, it's both Anti-Tank.
Fusion Blaster + Flamer = OK, it's both short range.
Flamer + Missile Pod = Generally Silly as 1 is long range AT and the other is short range AI.

The alternate being these days, if you have the points and spare hardpoints, whacking lone flamers where ever they'll fit is good for Overwatching duty.

1-2 Hammerheads and 1 squad of Broadsides is generally best, and it's often prudent to run your commander with the same loadout / purpose as the rest of the squad it's with.
Can't really comment on your list otherwise as what you've saids a little vague, with clearer image of your list atm better advice can be given.

When I used battlesuits, I used the following setups on my regular guys:

TL missile pods, flamers
missile pods, plasma, multi-tracker
TL fusion gun, drone controller with shield drone
fusion gun, plasma, multi-tracker

For my commander, I ran one of these
Airburster, fusion gun, targeting array
Cyclic ion, plasma, targetting array
fusion gun, plasma, targeting array (his bodyguards had the same setup)

Putting burst cannons on a battlesuit is kicking yourself in the teeth, because you really don't need more str 5 ap5 in the army.
