Ok this may be really dumb, but I need to ask before I commit money.

If I pledge the 39 dollars for the 'boots on the ground' pledge option in the dream forge kickstarter, do I get those models? Or is it a draw kind of thing, or some other odd thing I'm missing?

I think I just get those pretty models but I just want to be sure I get how it works before I fork over money.

You should get the listed reward for the level you contribute at.

In a lot of ways kickstarter is often basically a 'preorder' with the provision that it may be canceled if there's not enough interest.

I'm not sure if drawings/raffles at reward levels are even allowed with their rules, as the possibility of fraud int his case is considerable.

If the $39 pledge level says it will give you models, then you get the models, assuming the project gets funded.

Ie if you pledge for the $39 reward level and there is $5 shipping for international orders (for example), then you need to pledge $44 in total.

No it can't. It is a donation. Full stop.

No arguing or looking at it from a certain point of view. It is right in the terms on the website that you are donating.

Might feel like a preorder to some folks(me included) for some campaigns. It is important to keep in mind it is a donation though. Saves on confusion and heartache later (see the Zombiecide thread for examples).
