This is my second land raider for my growing Deathwing army. I got tired of just doing bullet holes for the battle damage and decided to give the tyranid bio damage a try. This is supposed to be what happens when a carnifex gets too close and the hurricane bolters cut him down. It sounds cool, but would never really happen on the table, at least not for me. Anyway CC welcome.

Looking good. Love the Nid arm sticking out of the top.

Looks quite nice. I must say the unique Tyranid damage is a really nice touch.

Looks good. I actually think the nid arm detracts from the effect though. The acid and claw marks look great, but the giant nid arm is a little over the top if you ask me. Is it removable?

yeah the arm is a bit much. it had to be detachable for it to still fit in the foam, i just jam it in there when i put it on the table or in the case.

Awesome job overall on the painting and weathering. But I do also think the tyranid arm is a bit much.

I like the damage and weathering, and the paintjob itself is solid. That Tyranid arm sticking out looks goofy as hell though, and really "gamey" in that it's obviously just a piece of plastic jammed on. I like that you painted/modeled the damaged part where it was severed, but I personally would have put that way further down the bit - like halfway up the blade. Right now it looks like it would be so back-heavy it would just fall off.

Don't let my niggling get you down though, this is still a pretty cool tank!

I like the idea for nid talon stuck in, but I think that the issue with it is that it's not stuck in far enough. It makes look a bit like it's just sitting on top of it.

I think that this is a very "busy" piece. That isn't a bad thing, but it does complicate issues. If it's intended to be the showpiece for your army, then it will do the job very well, but the level of detail will distract from other models if you are wanting the focus to be on something different.

Looks really characterful. The arm might look better if it was just the talon stuck in, as if it got snapped, or was further embedded in the armour. Would still look good as is though

I agree with the others, it's a bit big and overbalanced to be stuck in like that. Nice paint work overall though. If you made a couple more nid damage bits, you could use them as hull point markers, which would be beyond cool.

Yes it would, great idea!

Really great job on the acidic damage. I too think the severed nid arm would look better if it was either snapped off closer to the tank or made to look like it is deeper.

Really nice work though.
