Here is the completed Cultist / Chosen / Marine done in this video!
Been working 12 hours straight and here are some snapshots from my iphone, fresh from Nuke Arts studio
These are basically to demonstrate the three painting standards of our studio - Tabletop B, Tabletop A and Tabletop Max, so that our clients can see and
differentiate each standard more easily, making it easier for them to choose and justify what they want to spend their money on.
I know the quality of the photos aren't amazing - but I'm too dead to set up a light tent and take proper photographs tonight so will keep you guys updated with the 'official' photos later
For now, enjoy!
Nuke

To be fair you admit photo qualty is poor, which being really honest it i, does neither the model or paint job justice :(
Post some better ones tomorrow?

I really hope you get your hands on a better camera soon, since it doesn't look to be doing those paintjobs justice. I really, really like the burning Chaos star on the flamer cultist though!
Alright guys.... Here is the first official pic (out of 12)
According to the statistics, less people use the Internet on the weekend so I will upload more on Monday!
(I upload them on my facebook page first, then link the URL here)
Beautiful, one question... How do you take pics that good with your iphone? because mine are simply garbage and ruin the quality of work i put into the painting
Ssgt Carl wrote:Sweet! maybe I won't trade my Chaos guys afterall. Those are some pretty awesome inspiration!
Thanks!
Dude, why would you even consider trading Chaos minis!!???? They're awesome!

Thanks man!
I use iphone 3 to take snapshot of my works and upload the progress on facebook for my clients to see so I got a few rules of thumb with iphone photography
1. Iphone auto-adjust the contrast for you, so if you use direct lighting it's gonna kill the details Don't use direct lighting. I got 2 warm light lamps that I turn towards my face, NOT towards the minis. It softens the shadow down when you only use the reflected light (from your shirt, if you wear white all the time like me)
2. use a soft box. Fortunately, my spray booth is semi-opaque.... perfect for softening strong light. If you look at my 'snap shot' photos , you'll see that they're all taken in a spray booth (with all the mess and that mesh filter)
3. wait til the iphone cam 'focuses'
I hope this helped, somewhat
Extra pic for today

Running a paint team isn't easy and I believe that tenacity and aggressive marketing is the key to success. The more your work is exposed, the better!
(I even have 4 clocks on my desktop so I can look at what time it is in my target zones (UK / US / NZ and AUS) so I can time my facebook posts accordingly at the most fruitful moment)

Sanity? Sorry but that word doesn't exist in Asia.
The models are great, brilliant paintjobs that I could only hope to aspire to. The bases on the Max though get to me. I just think its a bit odd that all of the Max models are posed as standing over a lava pit on two precarious rocks but thats just a nit pick of mine...
Tappers wrote:Simply stunning! Would you mind telling us how you did those excellent chips and dents painted onto the Tabletop max Dark Angel?
Hey man! Thanks!
Chipping = sponge with dark color (black / brown.... you you can use bronze or metallic if you like) the important part is to highlight each chip with a lighter color

Thanks man - I know it's not practical to stand on carefully placed volcanic rocks, but among our clients and subscribers, I'm known for my Glowing Grey Knights on a Lava base, so I tend to use this theme ALOT, especially with my Tabletop Max standard.
I think it goes well with many things, like these:
Or maybe I'm just Lava obsessed

These are great, even the B standard ones are good, especially putting the source lighting on there. The cultist with the flamer is my fav, the mask wins it.
