May I ask how you applied the grass? Did you patiently put each strand in while the snow was wet?

Cheers guys, the grass was a GW grass tuft. They stick out nicely and you can mould the snow mix (water effect + Woodland scenics snow + dot of white mixed into pasted, sprinkled with WS snow) around them

Damn. That's the nicest space wolf I've ever seen.

How'd you pull off that OSL? It looks a lot brighter and more convincing than most effects like that.

Did you know? The Reach belongs to the Forsworn.

Cheers guys! The glowing effects were achieved by keeping the contrast really high. Shading down in the recesses to a dark blue quite drastically and highlighting up to white.

Very smooth painting. Excellent freehand work on the kneecap and shoulder pad. You're spot on with the OSL, as well. Though I do think there's a bit too much OSL on the shoulder-pad. Just my opinion, though.

Cheers!

Super disagree there. Doing OSL on the rune is a sweet idea (fluff wise) and I've never seen it done before.

I think it looks really good!

really nice work. how did you do the recessed areas (e.g., all the gaps between armor plates on the arms, etc.)? is that a wash or lining in with black paint or some other technique? it's really crisp and I'd like to apply that to my own marines
