So, I was considering buying this until I saw the price.

For those who don't want to look it up, it's £7.99. That's $AU12.27, $US12.96 and €9.88.

EDIT: Perhaps this belongs in News&Rumours. I'm not sure, so I'll leave it for the mods to decide?

I own an iPad2 and I m not even bothering to check in if GW has anything interesting in iBooks.
The prices are sick and I m not willing to pay a Pennie for anything. The psychic powers
Were pretty appealing for me, though when I saw the price it changed me mind...

Killing is easy. Being politically correct is a pain in the ass...

So essentially this is the digital equivalent of the psychic card deck that they sell? That is priced at ~ £8 too IIRC.

If you want a deck of Psychic Power cards and like to use your phone in gaming, I don't see why a similar price to the physicals should put you off - I mean, Apple exclusives tend to be more pricey, don't they?

Erm, pretty sure iBooks is an iPad-only app. No phones, no macbooks, just the tablet. Not that I'd ever purchase an Apple product without having been subject to one of those incidents in which a serious head trauma drastically alters your personality and behaviour of course

As for why a similar price to the physicals should put you off, that's easy; when I pay GW £8 for a physical set of Psychic Cards, they are mine, I own them. I can use them where, how, why, and when I want, I can make a backup copy of them in case I lose or damage them, and if someone takes them from me without my consent that is considered theft.

When I pay Apple £8 for a set of virtual Psychic Cards, according to Apple I am only renting the right to use the application, and that right has a list of conditions attached which could circumscribe the Earth, the most disturbing of which is that they reserve the right to remove my access at any time for any reason.

It's only recently, thanks to the Blitzkrieg marketing and shady borderline-bribery(known as "lobbying" in political circles) of companies like Apple, that it become commonplace to expect someone to pay exactly the same price to buy a product and to rent it. I do not accept that paradigm, and frankly anyone who does needs their head examined.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

Wait.....

Is this the same thing that is available in the pages of the BRB?

Why on earth would I buy an app for that? I have access to a copy machine, or an excel spreadsheet.

That's about stupid...

Now with 100% more blog....

It's just kinda cool. If I didn't already have the psychic power cards (a more convenient and aesthetically pleasing method of doing what you mentioned) I might pick it up.

You know what's functional? My brain. I'd rather memorize the psychic powers word-for-word than pay 12 dollars for an app that doesn't even include all the codex powers.

Here's a pro-tip: there is a program called "Magic Set Editor" that is used for making home-made cards in the MTG style. I used them to make up cards for the Death Watch psychic powers... they looked pretty darn good. I'll likely do the same again for the 6th Ed powers.
