There is a store in Marietta, GA that sells GW kits at 40% off. The real question is why aren't you buying from them?

The same reason I don't take my ham sandwich to Morton's steakhouse and sit down and eat my sandwich.

Pay where you play. 40% off does me no good if I have no where local to play. Paying higher prices and not using online discounters is the equivalent of me 'tipping' when I go out to eat. Yes, I can eat at home and save money, but I like going out to eat, the same way I like going out to play. So i pay higher prices to help the brick and mortars.

Probably has something to do with not knowing the name of the place or how to order from them.......

Oh! Well, I just run the little gaming club at the store, not really an employee, but since you want to know, it's the Raven's Nest! Be sure to tell them Ingram sent you.

Your a bit off aren't you Ingram.

Telling us how wonderful this store is, not providing a link. And then someone finds the link, and they don't sell 40k online? So that answers your question.
And how can they sell at 40% off? They won't make any money... When I worked for a FLGS, i'm sure we bought from GW at 60 or 65% retail price, and we got the full discount at the time (within their conditions for different discounts depending on store size etc, not sure if they still do that).

I'd say just call them when they open.

Perhaps the owner is more interested in building a good community, where anyone can get into wargaming without selling a kidney?

If you want an awesome game store in Marietta, GA, check out Giga-Bites Cafe.

http://www.giga-bitescafe.com/index.html

Great place to play, with a lot of gaming space. They also have food, sandwiches and coffee. They're open every day except Tuesdays, and always have a ton of people at the store playing each night. Lots of Warhammer/40K players, as well as a great Warmachine community.

As tempting as 40% off is, I'd rather suport a long-standing established store that I like going to for my gaming nights.

I'm a big fan of Giga myself, but I don't feel the need to donate money to them. Besides, if you play there you'll for sure buy their food, if they want more business price competitively.

And again .....no phone number, you kiiding me. If you're just posting to boost your number of posts, well welcome to Dakka. But if you're trying to pimp a store out to the world , not just Marietta, GA or your immediate 10 block radius, then how about you do a little legwork. Maybe find out if they have an online store and provide a weblink if they do, so the rest of us know we're browsing the right shop. Or provide a phone number. It's really not too much to ask. Hell you can still do it, by editing your first post. And welcome to Dakka.

THE FUN HAS BEEN DOUBLED!!!

Goodness me, you seem to have overlooked the website link someone posted earlier in the thread. Let me just paste that here for you. http://www.rngames.com/
Now just click that, click contact, and boom! You have the number. But if reading the thread is to hard, I better just give you the number.

Because their web store is unimpressive and has skeletal stock listed (with no GW/40K btw).

If it's a new store they are pricing themselves to make less than 3% on what they sell. The sheer volume you'd have to sell to make a profit on that and the amount of space you would need means either this is BS or the store won't be open for long.

20%-25% is generally the max that retailers can discount GW product and still get a valid return. Anything more than that is likely a soon to fail business model or if I'm being unkind, a scam.

You can't list GW stock online unless you are GW. You have to call to get their inventory. That is standard for all online stores that sell GW products.

Not true.

You just can't put it in a shopping cart format and with discounted prices, etc..

You can however list what you have in pdf form, etc.. For proof check out sites like The Warstore, etc.
