Looks decent. A sepia wash or something similar on those purity seals and the cape would really make a big difference.

Very Nice indeed! is that the "Boarding party Marine"?? Great job on it, but i woud agree with alanmckezie, a wash on the cape/seals would help.

Thanks! Spent more time painting him than I'd like to admin!

You do not think it would come out too Orange?

The Seals are actually washed, just didn't help to define them as much as I had wanted. It is indeed the MK III Boarding Marine from the Forgeworld Games Day 2011.

Godfrey of Old or Godfrey is Old? And if you have a fine enough brush, try etching out tiny little black lines on the scrolls to make it look like stuff is written on them.

The wash shouldn't make them too orange, though I start mine from a bone/grey base rather than a white base like you. It just ages them a bit. And a really thin watered down black for the writing on them. Hope this helps.

I'll give it a try on some of my Sword Brethren first before I go ahead and give it to him. I don't mind it that much but you are right, it could use some more definition. I'll try it out and also maybe give a brown wash a shot too and compare.

Godfrey of Old? It is a title, as his fluff has him as a rather old Space Marine.
