Does anyone have any ideas on how to make the temperature blueing seen on motorbike exhaust manifolds and the such? If you do is there any pic or a how to?

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Paint the pipe a bright silver, wash with a very light black wash, then wash with a light blue wash, then a light purple wash.

You can also dot in a little sepia on the parts which are not blued as there is often a little yellow in heat weathered metals.

Heat effect seems to be something that turns up quite frequently.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Vallejo makes a color in the model color line called gunmetal blue 70.800 is the code and it works stellar.
