So I'm putting together a Crimson Fist Army and I'm looking for a way to make them Stand out as a Crimson Fist Army (Both Visually and in Play Style) and I was Wondering what I could do to enhance that.

Now I have already Started with Kantor and I plan on getting Sternguard but it struck me that this couldn't be the only thing that makes them Unique (as Unique as a Codex Astartes Compliant Chapter can get).
One of the other things I was thinking of was giving Sergeants two Crimson Hands (Representing Veterans now leading Squads).

I'd really like some feedback in all aspects to give my army a real Feel of Crimson Fists

This has the majority of the information you need to get the feel for your Crimson Fists.

Basics are: The Crimson Fists are part of the Second founding and derived from the Imperial Fists. This makes them very stubborn. They like big red powerfists. Their entire chapter has been decimated and they have about a company's worth of men left. You don't fight for honor or pride, you fight because you are all that is left of the chapter and if you die, so does the chapter.

Canifex Quote: I love Rhinos. They are crunchy on the outside, and soft and chewy on the inside.

I would look at doing "special" veteran who survived the attack on the home planet "Rynn's World". As the novel goes along they lose almost there whole chapter to the ork invasion, and a stray anti-capital chip missile. I think having some special survivors in the group with a different color helmet would be unique.

The Sternguard as troopers is not a Crimson Fist thing. Its a Kantor thing.

Its how he personally uses Sternguards and his own combat style.

No other chapter master or company captain of the Crimson Fist would use Sternguards the way he does.

Crimson Fist are NOT very unqiue. That comes from their strict following of the codex. (In terms of organization and tactics) However they have very unqiue fluff.

Oh and they like Power Fist

Have 3/4 of your army die on turn 1. That should get you the Crimson Fist feel lol.

Rather than laystyle, try and get as few models on the table top as possible, but loading up on options, mostly fists. Also, try and stay away from too many vehicles, except maybe the odd rhino or Dreadnought. Because you have so few models you can then spend time invidualising models with orky remains and wreckage, and really make them CF.

Other than that, what Deadshot said. Few, high quality troops and an abundance of powerfists. Maybe a Vindicator, they're descendants of Dorn after all.

I think there should be a fair few veterans, not many tactical marines, and a fair few scouts, representing new recruits.

They're veteran heavy, as most of their regular tactical company Marines were lost in the fight for Rynn's World. Those who survived have become veterans and they're still rebuilding the chapter, so they have an unusually high ratio of veterans in their ranks. These could be represented with Sternguard, Vanguard, or Terminator veterans, but Sternguard are generally your best bet, given Pedro's special rules for them.

An interesting list would be one that focused on Sternguard in drop pods and scouts with locator beacons on the field. This would show that the army is still veteran-heavy, and that they are still in the recruitment phase for many of their Marines.

Thanks Guys, as well as the Sternguard I'll think I'll add Scouts (maybe Scouts on Bikes) and maybe a Techmarine as well

Thanks for the Help
