Seeing the favourite 40k weapon thread made me wonder what my favourite special character in the game was.
For me it is Skulltaker, Champion of Khorne simply because the idea of him hacking the heads off heroes with ease was too cool to not love.
What is your favourite character?

WazDakka - bikes with guns are cool - and it fits with Orks so nicely.

The doom of malantai. It's just so good and it's fluff is great. Shame there isn't a model out for it yet tho

Skulltaker as well. Rending on a 4+ and insta-death when he rends is nothing to mess with. Especially because of his lo point cost

Although Belial has always been one of my favourites, not an outstanding character but cheaper than most captains you could make in TDA and he makes DW troops to boot.

The Swarmlord is my current favorite that I have in my armies. I just dont like his model. The smaller bone sabres arent as impressive as the old scratch built metal model I have with boneswords that i molded on lashwhip hands for the off side.

Deathleaper/Parasite of Mortrex would be second just because of the name of their rules. Its after me, the sarge is acting strangely. Awesome sauce.

Huron, 'cause he wouldn't take "no" for an answer, then he started a war, got blown up, and has continued to survive on crazy. Also, the IA Badab books are really nicely done.

Ahriman, Azmodai, Typhus, Eldrad, Wazdakka are all ones I like a lot for various other reasons

I'm going to have to vote Typhus.

I don't play CSM, but I just love the fluff for the Death Guard. If he had a model, I would probably pick Mortarian. Unfortunately, that is not the case... Yet.

In terms of the model, Typhus. I love his look and I'm trying to think of a way to convert him into a sort of infested marine for my Tyranids. Maybe use him as a counts-as Tyranid Prime.

In terms of play, Swarmlord. He is such a beast and just wrecks anything in his path.

Baron Sathonyx, cheap yet adds quite a lot to the army. Having no official model also allows for all the crazy conversions, though I'm definitely not good enough to convert anything awesome, but it's good to see that others have.

Mine is just a standard hellion with a different head and body to stand out. :(

He is just so badass... Fluff is great, rules are great.

I just hope he gets made to fit his stature as 'best psyker in the galaxy' in the next dex. Seen as most CSM psykers can be the same master as he is now :(

Eldrad for the zappiness and Lelith because she can wipe the floor with anyone in the game in single combat. I may be exaggerating about the 'anyone in the game' part, but I've never seen her lose a challenge to date.

Runner-up slots go to Coteaz (since he lets me use my old Daemonhunters-book Inquisition army), Maugan Ra (since my Maugan Ra model is lucky and doesn't fail armor saves), and Korvyde (because he's the only special character who has a jump pack and a HAMMER).

Yarrick. Just a really good background story and a ton of fun to play with. He is one tough warlord for the IG.

my favorite has to be Sgt. harker... 5+ save from abs? yes please... close second is Sly Marbo and third is Commisar Yarrik

Creed, and Chenkov for IG, Love 'Send in the Next Wave!' and 'Tacticul Genius'

For characters I have used, I love Straken the most, he has one of the 2 3+ saves and a bucnh of other gimmicks that make him awesomer than a Space MArine
