Hey all! I'm looking to start a Dkok army, but would most likely be using standard IG rules.

Hoping for my army to look fluffy, I was thinking of using centaurs to be proxied as chimeras.

Is it fair? Would people be put off since the 2 models are different?
Would like to know before $ is spent on those neat models.

Thanks!

Convert the chimeras into something that resembles a centaur, would not be too hard..plus converting is way too much fun.

Or just make very sure your opponent is aware of any differnces the 2 units have...I let my buddies proxy anything aslong as its all spelled out before hand.

Might bother people; you'd be better off just using chimeras. The size difference is a problem, and you'd have to do some extensive converting to make them work WYSIWYG; converting FW resin vehicles can be hell.

You could give it a shot just playing DKOK from their actual codex. FW codices are a lot of fun, they offer your opponents a new, fresh take on guard they probably don't see too often, and DKOK have some really badass options. Plus, even if it's a little harder, it's super rewarding winning with a list like that.

hmmm, I am a bit of a converter myself and looking at the centaur

and a chimera

I think a fairly nice looking centaur conversion could be made from a chimera model, with some plasti-card and some sawing, its very do able.

WHOOPS! brain fart, I mis-understood, you want to use Centaurs AS Chimeras..hmm ok that is different, do as theCaptain said, just play DKOK you may like it..

I may try and make a few centaurs now that the gears are turning

Yeah I would go ahead and say just try out DKoK rules from FW. You appear to already have models from the DKoK. The DKoK have some really cool rules, so as long as your opponent is cleared with playing a FW army (I know some people are like FW-phobic) it can be a really fun army and game
