So I've had this long-standing idea for a Lucius conversion, head swap, backpack swap and a change of weapon.

Pieced it together last night and felt it lacked a certain gravitas next to the DV marines, so I added the CSM termie cloak.

Waited til a finecast release because the head swap would have been too much of a nightmare otherwise.

Photos aren't great but they'll do.

Things I need to do -

- trim and de-flash everything, it all came off sprues last night
- find a suitable pistol for his right hand
- sort out his neck, its a bit of a mess right now
- work on the cloak and backpack, they don't sit too close yet

How do people like it, suitably chaotic?

Looks pretty awesome to me! Nice work. The head is really fitting, I think.

Yeah, I agree, the head seems to blend in perfectly, but, have you considered horns? I know the head is lovely as it is, but it feels a little thin at the moment? Eagerly awaiting progress anyway.

I dunno, the smallish head makes him look more sinister, IMO. Horns might make him blend in more, could be a bad thing.

That sword seems a little under whelming, seeing that the swords he has was the same one that his primarch used to use before he got the daemon sword.

Nice work! You make me want to do the same

I'm not a fan of the original model, but really I like what you've done here. I think the head itself is fine as-is, but it needs to sit lower on the body (i.e., shorter neck). relative to other power armored marines, the neck just looks too long right now. I agree with coyote about the sword, it's really pedestrian compared to the rest of the model. the cloak is a great touch. looking forward to seeing this painted!

Hi everyone, thanks for the comments.

The head came from the FW Renegade Militia Enforcers set. Really lovely set, perfectly chaotic.

I've not made a lot of progress on him, been a bit distracted by other projects - an obliterator conversion and some RG marines.

The head really does look right. It's bigger than the original and comparable to a marine helmet in both height and depth, only it's a touch narrower. I agree with the sword looking rubbish too. I've cut it off and tacked a DE power weapon in its place. It looks better but still not perfect. The real trouble at the moment is the cloak and backpack. They sit too far back on the model and are requiring quite a bit of filing.

I guess I'm not really rushing this model, I won't be building a whole army until plastic Noise Marines are released, and they seem some way off...
