I was flipping thought the Aeronautica and came across the Sabre Defense Platform.

It comes standard with TL heavy bolters which are 36" S5 AP4, heavy 3, Skyfire, Interceptor.

But for +10 points you can take heavy stubbers at 36" S4 AP6, same other rules.

Why on earth would someone pay more for a worse gun?

One would think to either make the stubbers the standard gun and make HB's the upgrade, or make the stubbers have a negative points value on them.

Isn't it for two TL heavy stubbers? As that's what the model looks like to me.

No possible reason.

But come on, it's forgeworld. Like GW, they start writing their rules with three shots of vodka, but then take it to the next level with three shots more.

Man 2 twin linked H-Stubbers would sure look cool tho! like a WW2 Flak gun.

Just that it's actually two guns, yup. The difference between two twin-linked heavy stubbers and a twin-linked heavy bolter is negligible for countering AV10 vehicles, the stubber is somewhat better at handling massed light infantry.
