I am toying with the idea of an alternative GK paint scheme. So after a couple of hour of work I came up with this.









So I need your opinion on this. Do you think that I should stick to the classic theme or give a shot at this one . Please notice that this is a test paint model so not everything is 100% taken care of.

Looks excellent. Whilst it's all about the dark grey and gold - the red details (book, purity seal etc) go really well with the scheme too.

I like it - it's a bit like the original Grey Knight scheme

It looks like a pretty normal scheme to me, simply using a darker grey over a lighter one or metallics

Thank you all for your comments. I think I will give it a try although using dark gray over black can have devastating effect regarding how "Clean" is black. I have 3 dreadnoughts and I will have to think how the scheme will look on them.

PandaMango the gold is Vallejo liquid gold (old gold) http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/en_US/liquid-gold/family/11. After that I used devlan mud and highlight it with mithril silver.

I love this colour scheme! The dark grey abd gold conrast really well with the eyes and force weapon. Thos eyes are stunning, I love the glow effect!

I'm a big fan of the original but this looks awesome, like some special ops designation.
