Whoa, nice use of Blackheart for your Reclusiarch. Amazing models, amazing paintjob! Fantastic!

Did you bulk up the dread? (lol my first reaction was,"That is a manly and awesome dreadnought. Manly.")

Seeing a squad of veterens swoop in in a Vendetta, secure the area, deliver that math assignment, and extract within 2 minutes would be freaking sweet.

They are some seriously cool models dude! I love the style you have going on! very distinct but it works so well with the squad, great use of the yellow throughout the DC, and as a whole they just look menacing and mean as a cut snake! lovely work , can't wait to see some more from you!

Thanks for the comments! I haven't been able to get much painting time in for most of the year due to work, but oh well. At least the proceeds from that are keeping me well stocked enough with plastic and resin crack not to complain.

The dread's actually just a normal FW Ironclad covered in more FW purity seals and dual chainfists (had to get an extra right arm to swap the shoulders over). The ironclad kit also comes with those badass extra shoulder armor plates, too.

They're got a very gritty, yet somewhat cartoony, feel to them that works incredibly well (or at least I think so).

Great job.

Sweet paint job man! I'm curious though, in the fluff lamenters are supposed to be the only BAs chapter to have stopped the black rage right? No DC?

Wow they look great! The contrast between the yellows, reds, blacks and whites are very stark but still blend together quite well. Excellent freehand work on the checkers and Lamenters symbols as well. The converted Reclusiarch using Huron Blackheart is ace, also.

I usually try to go for a comic book-y aesthetic when I paint with very solidly defined outlines, which usually means a lot of work with black paint, a fine brush and OCD. And even though finecast is insanely problematic, I love it for letting me do extreme conversions like my Reclusiarch / Commander-Chaplain.

I actually haven't stopped by BB in a long time, too busy with work and stuff.. but yeah, I used to game there. My red necrons are prolly still in one of the cabinets somewhere.

And the lamenters had their black rage come back around the Badab War or so. They're pretty unlucky...

I am in love with these models and their paintjobs. They are busy but in a good way as everything seems to compliment each other.

Really great work!

It's actually pretty simple. Just Iyanden Darksun with a Devlan Mud wash.

I'm not usually a huge fan of models with a ton of detailing, but on space marines I find it really helps to break up all the plain armor plates and give them some character.

Brilliant. A unique paint scheme that you can call your own.

I thought the Lamenters didn't suffer from the black rage, and that they were of great intrest to the blood angels who are now in search of the probably destroyed chapter who went on penitent crusdade.

Your models look good by the way, as far as modeling and painting goes!

The Badab War FW books cover this pretty well. They basically relapsed, got screwed over by the Minotaurs, and went off to kill xenos and be awesomely doomed.

Wow, this is very impressive! I have never been a big fan of the Lamenters' design/color scheme, but I really like how you've integrated it into the Death Company design/color scheme. Also some very characterful conversions (and I am a conversion snob - I don't hand out compliments on conversions lightly!)

I'd like to see more of this army - keep up the good work!
