Me and my friends have a debate on who would win in the end and I think necrons Tyranids or Orks so I
want the members of DakkaDakka to help us decide

Being digested by a Tyranid.

I'd say chaos, as they can match the amount of tyranid and ork bodies with immortal daemons and hordes of cultists, also it's pretty widely known that the Imperium is pretty darn screwed should Cadia fall, but that would require Abaddon actually having a successful black crusade, which ain't likely.

also, can daemon's possess necrons? if so that puts chaos at a pretty good chance of winning. Of course this is slightly opinionated as I favor chaos over the necrons and tyranids

Seriously. The Alpha Legion fluff is so ridiculously awful, this is probably true.

The sad part is, the Alpha Legion used to be my favorite of the Chaos Legions until GW went off the deep end in the stupid pool with the James Bond Marines trope.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

What do you mean? Just because they're good at subterfuge and independent tactics doesn't really make them bad.

I think it's a refreshing change from the other Legions, who are just KILL MAIM BURN.

Nids. Possibly Chaos, but my bet is that the Gods will starve once most of humanity/other psychic races gets devoured.

Also, I laugh at the Eldar vote.

No.

Necrons are completely immune to being corrupted by Chaos in any fashion, short of decaying their bodies (Which can be replaced).

Chaos can't win, necrons can shut them off.

Orks vs nids has happened before a huge and currently both sides just get stonger it seems (nid codex)

Nids are a threat to necrons reason the silent king is returning

Necrons vs orks, necrons make bargins with the orks, orks leave planet play with new toys and up dead ^_^

Nids avoid necron tomb worlds though so they are scared of them.....

it really depends on how well nids and necron fluff goes i think.

Tau - imperial could wipe them out any time they like
Eldar - Has fallen
Dark Eldar - They can not over take the galaxy as need to live with in the webway so she who thirsts dont get them as easily
Imperial - Is on the same path as the eldar

20k+ Nids 10k Eldar (w/Phantom) 5k Necron 5k Lizardmen

Chaos, probably.

When the Emperor dies, Chaos fills the galaxy. The Necrons are not strong enough to stop that yet.

But there is a possiblity that Chaos may end up snuffing themselves out in the process

If the sentient life in the galaxy puts up a good enough fight against those who have fallen to chaos, it is possible for the situation to result in MAD which would deprive the chaos gods of their food source: emotions.

Well, since win means different things to different races, I'd say the orks, the tyranids, chaos and the dark eldar have it good right now.

The Imperium.

In the end they always win when it's important.

Also, they are Humans. Humanity rule no. 5: "Humans always win, always. Being trough superior numbers, some kind of bold plan or some unbeatable brave leader to lead them."

No one. The Imperium is rotten at its core, the Orks aren't unified enough to pose a serious threat, Tau are tiny in comparison to everyone else, Eldar are dying out and Dark Eldar would be that same in a galaxy in the final war, since daemons, Necrons and Nids, who would likely become the major forces in such a war, are immune to their tortures. The Necrons could beat Chaos, but it seems unlikely they'd have the numbers to subdue the Nids. If the Nids beat the Necrons first, they'd have to abandon the galaxy, since daemons leave nothing for them to eat, and it seems unlikely that they'd take Warp-tainted food anyway. If Chaos wins, there'd be no emotion left in the galaxy once the last of their followers died out, so it would implode after a while anyway.

In the event that Durza's scenario doesn't quite happen, Nids would have to take the bait here. Once the full-might of a Hive Fleet reaches the galaxy, nothing can survive. There just aren't enough bullets or bombs to kill them all.

I disagree with the eternal war, if you look at the codex's, the timelines, things are all getting more catastrophic towards the end of the 41st millennium, more Tyranids and Necrons, daemons coming in greater numbers. But Tyranids will win and all the poor guard and everything else will be eaten. Nids have no emotions so chaos dies. Or Necrons decide they have had enough and destroy everything. ...

Because it's stupid, lol.

It's entirely un-Space Marine-like. The Alpha Legion were originall snake eater, unconventional warfare types. The 40K Green Berets. Not this ninja super-spy infiltrate everything nonsensical garbage they've been turned into. Games Workshop beat the tar of that horse, and they just keep beating its corpse into dog food.

It was cool when they were different. At some point, they stopped being Space Marines. One wonders why they weren't censured along with Lorgar since they never seem to actually do anything you'd expect a Space Marine Legion to do, like conquer things. They needed to remain Space Marines first, and then maybe have a trope. They aren't even Space Marines anymore in anything other than name. They're some fantasy wish-fulfillment garbage taken to the extreme.

Look, trust me. Talking bad about the Alpha Legion is disappointing. Because, like I said, I used to really like them. My old small-points tournament forces were Chaos and Genestealer Cult (back when they had a real list in 2nd). And my Chaos guys were Alpha Legion. Slowly but surely, Games Workshop has made their fluff get dumber, and dumber. You read the IA article from the 90s and it's an entirely different Alpha Legion than the ridiculous satire of Space Marines that Dan Abnett wrote about in Legion. Or worse, Gav Thorpe's abysmally bad Deliverance Lost.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

There is ment to be like a final battle with the eldar and chaos, which leads to the destruction of th matterium and immaterium. Heres a link

http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Rhana_Dandra

I think this would cripple chaos horribly and proably the imperium as they cant ignore a battle on such a scale as this. I voted necrons as they could simply rebuild their pylons and block of the warp from reality if they are able to unite under one banner again.

http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Mag%27ladroth (mentions pylons at bottom)

Necrons also have nearly uncoutable numbers and even if not united they could still overwealm the galaxy with superior number like in the war in heaven.

http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Xenos_World (bottom of page explains spreadness of necrons)

Long live the triarch!
