So Im planning a Tau army, and the general visual vibe I am going for is Star Wars... Id like them to give the same feel as a Clone Army.

No conversions or anything, nothing that literal.

So what theme for basing should I use? I feel winter is very very overdone these days.

Jungle? Desert? Badlands? What feels most "star warsy"?

Now taking commissions. New website!

Desert. Followed by space craft decking, badlands, and then high urban.

Desert and space craft interior are also my top two motifs that come to mind for Star Wars and Clone Wars in general.

I would lean towards space craft interior to contrast with the bright armor.

I always planned on doing my Tau (should i ever get back to them ) on a space ship. Infact i came across the perfect bases for it too.

The standard Desert themed bases seem to really suit Tau of any colour. So desert is always a safe bet. I personally would go the starship theme. Definately gives off the Star Wars vibe.

If you're interested in a more industrial spaceship theme (perhaps they are a boarding force), hobby lobby sells a really cool corrugated metal plastic sheet.

Here is a link to what one of my friends did with it. http://www.dakkadakka.com/core/gallery-viewimage.jsp?i=429977&m=2&w=800

i'd go for space ship decking... just add plasticards and maybe some tubes or wires here and there...
make it a cold grey with red and or blue details and than you can go crazy with colors on your models
