Here are some pictures of converted Necron Scarab Hives to give them a real sense of "Hive" movement:

8-10 scarabs per base? im gonna make a whole bunch for my army as well are they any good in game?

lol! I treat them as normal scarab hives the additional ones on the base are just for show

I just think it's hard to get a real "hive" feeling with just four of them on a base

Don't get the hive thing quite allright, as said before not quite the hive feeling, but may I say that those scarabs look REALLY good They are truly necron! Wow you stunned me with the actual result because the thread title gave other expectations! XD really nice, thumbs up for these little bad-asses

Just looked at my necron codex, for some reason I thought they were called scarab hives, while they're just called canoptek scarabs

Anyway, what I meant was that I wanted to give them a real "swarm" aspect rather than a "hive".

I love the scarabs, and looking at the models i can just imagine a sea of scarabs crawling towards me like that. Nice work!

They look great, you really achieved your goal. I especially love the hand sticking out of that first swarm. Poor sod is being broken down for spare parts and the scarabs manage to look cute while doing it.
