Hey guys and gals...

Have you ever been in love with someone who does everything they can to push you away? It is frustrating. You feel helpless...

In my case her name is Games Workshop.

I love her, the hobby, the nerds, the painting she gives to me. I try everything I can to promote her... and then she FINALLY finds a way how to disable people from posting EVEN their promotional videos... I don't get it... Paranoia OR complete failure to understand the principles of Intellectual Property. What are they so afraid of?

I wrote an open love letter to GW on my blog - and I would like to share it with you. Maybe one or two of you will leave a comment and MAKE GW be back together with us. Its a desperate attempt, I know...

Here is the love letter. Please comment to help me win my love over!

Oh, ... and if this is not enough for you, there are currently giveaways on limited and rare GW stuff on my site, worth 2000+ Ebay Dollars. Limited Edition Chaos Space Marine Codex (2), Limited Edition Dark Vengeance Starter Box (2), Angron (1)... this week there will be 2x SPACE HULK (limited) and so on...

We are planning a "Painting Revolution" - some of you have already heard of it... And it is ABSOLUTELY crazy. Verify for yourself

Do you think GW would listen if we got, let's say, 1000 comments? I would send them the letter as a 'petition' if you like... As I said.. Desperate attempt is desperate

Stay hoopy & Happy Painting!
Share & Enjoy!

Zaph, I think the issue must be with your blog.

I embed GW video's all the time on my blog. Indeed, I just did so Saturday for The Hobbit (http://blog.pinsofwar.net/the-hobbit-pre-order/)

The embed function for GW's videos is not disabled (though there are Videos on YouTube where this is the case)

As a fact, watch this:

Most other companies at least do not pretend listening to the crowd.

Any company that wishes to stay in business should definitely pay attention to what the majority of their customers think of their products, yes. GW propbably does this, but believe that majority of their customers are 9-14 year olds that stay a few years and then discover alcohol, girls and other unnerdy vices. So Zaphod should probably give up his childhood crush, because she is not getting any older, which means he is getting more creepy with every year

That is not really the case, I think. All the ones I actively play have some sort of engagement with their customers, even if it is only at their forums. I mean, Corvus Belli is the one that engages the least with their english-speaking fans, but they still have quite a lot of contact and support.

Careful now, Corvus Belli is a small company and as such, is excused from a lot of things, by the virtue of being a small company, something that is often brought up when there's something going on with them.

And yet, as I pointed out, they still do quite a lot of engagement with fans, even across the language barrier (such as it is).

Hey guys!

Thank you so much for your many responses. I saw tons of you on my blog, many left comments - thank you!

It is interesting, because there is no pure cleansing Sororitan Flaming going on, but very constructive feedback.

Actually the comments have become better than the original Love Letter

That's what happens when you write love letters. You send it. Then you think: OH NO, I FORGOT XYZ!

Your letter is a pretty big fail imo...no offense, but first you go on about some shortcomings, but then say:

"I will keep buying your stuff, because I am the #1 GW/FW Fanboy IN THE WORLD, you hear me... THE WORLD"

...which basically makes everything else you posted completely irrelevant. You will buy it, mission accomplished. Ignore the rest you said.
