Infinity has some of the best models out there right now; not only are the models dynamic and sharply detailed, but they also seem to take a lot of care casting them.
I tried painting these in Vallejo, but they don't really suit me. I've noticed that whenever I use Vallejos the highlights never seem to stand out. Odd.

I love the colours, the models look really nice too, I may have to look more into Infinity.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the feedback.
Manni: Heya! Looking at your sig, you're keeping busy with the game, that's awesome to see.
'trees: Yes, we should give it a try. Do they have a new set of rules out, or is the hardcover book still valid? I had heard they were updating the rules.
I've had these paid for a while, I'm trying to kick my ass back in gear to get more done. Been way to distracted by Borderlands 2 and Rift.
I just went and looked at the new models and I'm just amazed at what they put out there, especially the robots and TAGs or remotes or whatever. Everything is just begging to be painted shiny with gradients and proper lighting...

The models look really cool. Are they modeled after Eldar for 40k or something else....

Really nice work. And you're absolutely correct about the Infinity models, I love them all. It's taking a lot of effort on my part to continue ignoring them to concentrate on my Space Marines. I don't really have the time and money for a new army, let alone a whole new game system.... But I can't wait until I do. Love the Infinity stuff. Keep posting.
P.S. With regards to the point about Vallejo, Do you always find this with the highlights? I use Vallejo, and find I mostly quite like them (particularly blues, greys, metallics). But I do struggle with their reds, oranges and yellows. I've went to GW for those colours. Just because these are the prominent colours on your models.

Yeah, I do have a problem with all the colours. I work directly under a bright bulb, usually with the model very close to my face (because my eyesight without glasses is horrible) so I paint the highlights to the same level of contrast as when I use GW paints... but a few days later, it doesn't look like I highlighted them at all. Although I've noticed that with GW paints, the highlights become more pronounced, and the steps between shading become more obvious, with time. Quite often I'm tempted to go back and smooth out gradients on models painted with GW paints, because i was sure I originally did a smoother job...
I guess I'm expecting that to happen with the Vallejo paints as well, but maybe the finer pigment means they blend more subtly. I think I'm just too stuck in my ways to adapt though

The current rule book is the "2nd edition", so yours might be out of date? The rules are available to download for free though...so we can give it a try before spending $100+ on the three current books. I'm looking at you Maifaux, Necromunda, BFG, Inquisitor, Clan War, VOR, and Warzone rulebooks. Sigh.
The models are awesome. I've noticed the same with Vallejo, although the Warmachine stuff I painted most recently I murdered the highlights with dull coat anyway.

I played a lot (by my standards) last year before we moved down to Calgary. My LGS at the time was just getting in to it, and an Edmonton venue had just closed it's doors, so there were lots of enthusiastic people to play.
It's actually a really good game, especially when you're playing the right people. It's also capable of delivering the most miserable gaming experience ever in the right conditions.
If it was feasible to play Warmachine with Confrontation models I think that would be my game of choice honestly.
