Does anyone have a good superglue to use for finecast? My games workshop superglue keeps clogging up, and it costs a friggin fortune :(.

Basically what radred said. I use some crappy 2 dirham superglue (that's about 70 cents) and it works like a charm!

I used to use loctite gel control, and it works really well, but now they have a stronger version called ultra gel control. The stuff is practically unbreakable.

I use just plain old krazy glue. It's a little thin but just don't use a ton.

+1. I only vary from this when I've got special conditions, such as the workings of pinning metal minis. But Ultra Control Gel is still in there somewhere.

I see you're in the UK, the one I use works well for both plastic and finecast - standard "wilko" superglue from Wilkinsons. Can't guarantee it'll bond as well as plastic glue for multi-part kits, but it's holding some pretty tenuous connections together on my Broadside conversion just fine

Loctite is great, especially the gels, which give you a little more time to get the right position before they start to set. You should also pick up Loctite Liquid Glue as well, as this is perfect for dropping into holes to pin models or otherwise gaps too small to get gel into. Finecast is very good with superglues, but as usual, the GW version is watered-down, hard to work with and overpriced. If you're also looking for Plastic Glue, I'd go for the little yellow-capped ones with the precision tip.. err.. Revell Contacta Professional Plastic Glue, that's the one.

Just repeating a few others, but loctite gel is the business. A bit of pinning never hurts either.

Don't use GW super glue. It goes stale very quickly.
Find Revell Contacta Professional. Its a UK only product from what I can tell. Its what Beasts of War uses to assemble everything. Outside of that, loctite.

You can get it in other countries as well, but it's a plastic glue that essentially melts the plastic to cement it together. I haven't got it to work on any kind of resin and considering my history with super glues I have settled for two component epoxy for anything that's not plastic on plastic.

It is? Well, that makes me less likely to kill myself to get it...
In that case, if you can get it, find glue made by BSI. It is amazing. A little goes a very long way! And, of course, LocTite.

Find Revell Contacta Professional. Its a UK only product from what I can tell. Just to be clear, Revell contacta is a POLYSTYRENE CEMENT not a superglue. That said, it is a German brand that should be available in most hobby stores (but if it isn't then Humbrol, Tamiya or Testors brands should be)

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
