So this is my Chaos Warhound Titan Sulphurius.
I travelled to Afghanistan in 09 in order to afford him. Took me about 3 months to get up the courage to paint and put together. I am not the worlds greatest modeller or painter, I used several magnets that were either too weak or too powerful and 2 of them glue opposite polarity. But in the end, I was pretty damn proud of the paint job, and during its first outing at Dreamation she was well recieved. Well tonight, my son screams from the basement and I walk in to find it crashed on the floor. I was seeing red (literally and figuratively) so I didn't take a photo, but here is what it look like on the table.
OUCH, right?!? After a quick scan, only a few parts actually broke, it came apart at the seems (or epoxy lines) so I am very lucky. The few pieces that did break, I am able to glue together and when all is said and done, it should look pretty seamless.
Here are some more pictures of what she looks like:
This was an accident probably waiting to happen, my son says he feels like $hit, but I already told him in private, but I want to say to him in public, that is was just an accident and not your fault. I am not mad at you, just upset and the situation; but like Astronaut Steve Austin, we can rebuild him, better, stronger, faster.
I am going to start by drilling bolts into his feet and fastening him to the base plate. I am going to pin each toe, there was only one not broken prior to his fall. I am going to re-attempt using magnets to hold the arms together, I have a turbo laser arm waiting in the wings. There are also a few other parts I need to finish painting, so I am going to do that before re-construction. I am also going to try to reposition him as well.
If anyone has any suggestions to what size bolts, magnets or nuts I should use, I am open to it.
