Hi im just about to start warmahordes and after hours of looking at the armies i have picked cygnar. i saw an army deal cosisting of
1x captin victoria haley
2x long gunner units (10x)
1x long gunner officer and standard
2x hunters
So im wondering is thiss a good army for £80

Not really, don't buy two of the same thing as a beginner, allow your army to expand first, take out 1 of the long gunner units and put in a 'jack, replace one of the hunters with another light, grenadier Maybe?

I agree with yellowblades, doubling-up so early on probably isn't the ideal situation for you. What you want certainly can be run in pairs, but what you have there is a rather skewed list that might have trouble with extreme melee ranges and stealth in general.
As for the price, it is slightly discounted, but not so much that I would jump on it as an all-or-nothing deal.

I would try something like this, using a stormclad and the new plastic stormblades due in February.
Points: 35/35
Captain Victoria Haley (*5pts)
* Hunter (6pts)
* Thorn (8pts)
* Stormclad (10pts)
Long Gunner Infantry (Leader and 9 Grunts) (10pts)
Stormblade Infantry (Leader and 5 Grunts) (5pts)
* 1 Stormblade Infantry Storm Gunner (1pts)

Yes, they're still selling them.

However, I'd hardly call the majority of them "good".

They arnt bad and they are a good start to each faction.

Oh man, there are so many ways to go after the battle box I don't think they can all be listed. Do you have any particular models or units that you are interested in adding?

If you are looking for a cheap starter army that sounds OK. But I doubt you will use most of the peices long term.

Definetly check out forward kommander, I use it for all my lists, for insipation go to battle colldge, it tells you about the tactics of all units in WM and HD

Thinking about it i would like a jack heavy list building form the battkebox. Uf any ine git a sample 25point list then that would be great.

Actually, I find Siege is a rather bad 'Jack Caster, simply because he likes doing his own fighting, so I run at most two defenders with him.

Think About it. Use Rheinholdt to reload, use foxhole or Mage Sight, or upkeep both. If I boost damage on both shots, but not attack rolls, I will have two focus left. Boost damage on both defenders, and destroy some heavies. There goes all six focus.

If you want lots of 'Jacks, you need Kraye, Darius, or Nemo 2/3. Or just spam our (excellent) 'Jack Marshals.

Darius, you don't even need more jacks, he comes with 3! But yeah, he is a very good jack caster

Some of the better casters for running more jacks in cygnar are general nemo, artificer nemo, and kraye. The rest are happy with two or three jacks in their battlegroup.

There are ways to inflate the jack count in an army such as using jack marshals or even taking a colossal.

Truth. Seige really only likes one jack. Either a defender or Stormwall. Any other jacks in his list should be marshalled. You might be able to get away with one more like a hunter or cyclone that needs very little focus, but in that case you are better off marshalling them anyways.

With ATGMs, JR and Arlan leading the way we have some excellent jack marshalls, particularly for ranged jacks. ATGMs in particular with their rune shots are handy. Arlan has some great skills, especially for a jack heavy list. And Jr has a nice buff that can go anywhere.
