I've been leaning towards bikes so I can get in quick and take down things with melta's and having the black mace on the Lord to get in CC with his toughness 6 and all but what about some terminators with a terminator lord in a land raider, or even a Lord on a mount with spawn body guard? My list usually has (excluding the lord) 1-2 plauge marine squads with 2 plasma guns, 1-2 CSM squads with whatever suits against what im playing, a heldrake and oblits. So basically what I want to know is, in your experience, what works best when taking a Lord, and what would best complement my army?

I do like a nurgle lord on a bike for T6. there's a number of additional upgrades ive been playing with but recently been keeping him cheap with a power axe and a sigil.

I like to run mine with just a mark to unlock my noise marines and the burning brand. Keep him cheap and effective save points for more big guns.

once you are on a bike you dont really need to worry too much about striking last, so the power fist makes some sense. LC+PF is also probably worth it on a lord.

In your squads, doing the chainsword tango

LC+fist is good on a bike, as you still have twin linked bolters ye can fire before assaulting to use that BS 5. mo rerolls is mo 6's for precision shots!

lately ive been a fan of keeping lords/sorcerers cheap and actually using spare points to buff them. sigil is a given i feel, and some sort of decent weapon along with something to run them with. THose are my basics anyway.
