she is using a crappy harbor freight rotory tool tool . i am wondering if you use the actual dremel one , with the pistol grip style handle , would it be powerful enough without switching the cord , and would it handle better ?

A method we use in engineering to weld plastic is using a thermal/heat gun (not to be confused with a melta gun... )

There used to be a kid's toy that worked the same way. This also works to make 'weld lines' on things like tanks and stompas.

Any rotary tool can pull this trick off.

I have. And I have done this with my variable-speed dremel.

then i find it odd that you would say "there used to be a toy that worked the same way ".......when that is the FIRST thing she talks about in the video , any one who watched the video would by then know that "there used to be a toy that worked the same way "
