Personally I think that MWG's videos are not that good compared to other miniature wargaming videos out on youtube, so would not even consider paying to watch MWG's content. What does everyone else think?

I, for one, would never pay them for their videos. The ones that I have had a peek at were mediocre at best, and I can find equivalent or (usually) better for free with a little leg work.
This "Vault" idea is the reason that I didn't support their Kickstarter/IndieGoGo campaign. They added Vault Membership levels to pretty much everything instead of just miniatures.
I agree with him and see no reason agenst it realy for them. even at the price the content made avalible fairly good and realy just comes down to the person looking for the value it holds.
I understand they are trying to make a living but their videos do not have enough added value above and beyond basic youtube videos to make them worth paying for.
I was a vault member for a week during a free trial. During that time I got download some of their videos. They're not bad, but you should pay for them if you feel like you might get your money's worth (Note: I felt I wouldn't have gotten my money's worth).

Having watched the video I completely agree that they can and should charge for their content. as Matt outlined this is what allows the free content to be produced. I strongly believe a lot of people do not understand the time and effort and that goes into such a thing. Having worked on several audio/video projects during my tenure at college I can see the merit in wanting to charge for what they produce for us.

I am a Vault member, although I bought a lifetime silver membership about a year ago when they were offering them. I think it is worth it for me since it was a one time payment of maybe $75 (I don't remember exactly), and I really like their videos. I especially like their battle reports and Kris' painting videos.
I was a vault member on a one-week free trial or whatever. While I thought some of the content was OK, I personally wouldn't buy it.
That being said, I don't think there is anything wrong with them charging for it - I think I might not be their core audience at this point in my warhams career. I think you'd get the most value out of it if you were just starting out.

MWG content is always lacking. The stuff from Spiky Bits, Lester Burseley Awesome Paint Job videos, and the GW blog is much better. Beasts of War is marginal and can be good or bad, depending on how the wind blows.
If it was just a flat cost to get in, like the Something Awful forums, I'd consider it, but if it's a monthly subscription, no way.
