I play draigowing, and i just posted my list on dakka ( http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/500182.page), and i was interested in finding a way to fight Shooty/Gun Line/Tank-Vendetta Spam IG with this kind of army.
I usually try to deploy Draigo and 10 paladins in a huge triangular formation, using Draigo to tank hits for the paladins with his 3++ and Feel No pain, But there are TOO MANY WEAPONS WITH S8+ and AP2.
What do you guys usually do?

I'm not really sure how to help, whenever my guard play against GK, especially Draigo wing, I find it to be quite a one sided fight. GK really lack the range to deal with guard, and with slow moving CC troops, my chimerae can kite the paladins for a long time. Not to mention all the str:10 ap2 guard have access to, it's very easy to double them out once Draigo is dead.
I would recommend moving away from Draigo Wing. Maybe purifier spam.
People say "2+ got better" but all I've found is that terminators just die to plasma weaponry as it's everywhere now.

Would interceptors not be a better bet? Supported by teleporting dreadknights / storm ravens?

Driagio wing is and always will be an "All in" type of list.
Did the enemy bring enough S8 AP2 weapons to deal with Paladins?
NO? I win
YES? I loose
Overall, there is not a lot you can do to mitigate this. Your best bet would be to put a lot of other threats on the board that require those same weapons to take down, (Knights draw AP2, Henchmen Razorbacks draw the high STR stuff, ect.)

Against guard the answer is usually "YES!"

And in an IG list where we can have 3 Plasma Guns per squad in a transport for pretty cheap (compared to other armies options)....it's usually yes....there is a pure-termi GK player at my FLGS, and he is a real TFG, so I decided to bring a massive Plasma Spam army to fight him. Had him tabled by turn 3. I don't think I could have fought anyone else effectively, but it was still fun shooting 37 Str8 AP2 or above shots a turn.

believe it or not, that's fairly effective vs just about anything lol
Maybe a bit light to kill hordes of orks but vs most MEQ armies and light ish transports/tanks, that amount of high str does wonders.

Just for info, you don't need to fight a Vendetta / plasmavet spam list to die horribly
I faced an army looking a bit like yours : Nemezor, Obyron, Overlord, Chronoteks and 4-5 overpriced Lords and some support sprinkled here and there
I was fielding 2 big platoons with mainly flamers and meltas and 5 Leman Russes as support (4 of them able to shoot small / large S8 ID / S10 AP2)
After the initial DS of the Necron Court, I simply had to feed them one unit a turn while I pounded them into oblivion with big templates
Your army ahs the same issue, it's not designed to deal with lots of weak units that can be sacrified one at a time.
Even if your unit finishes completely unscathed, you'd have a hard time making their points count
Maybe try to put 'em in a Crusader so that you have more chance to reach the opponent's lines ?

How is adding 250pts to their cost going to help them make their points back? It's just compounding the problem.

Cool, so spend 250pts on getting them to a 60-70pt sacrificial squad.
Death stars just don't cut it, spending more points on them doesn't make them better.

Like Kitch said; that's a couple turns rolling up the board where he's not losing 55+ point models due to artillery. Two Medusas could almost wipe a Draigowing. With a Crusader, at least they've got the chance to make it up the board.

I can understand that, but it doesn't solve the core issue of having a huge points investment that can still only deal with 1 unit per turn. OP was asking how to deal with guard. Throwing 250pts into getting them into CC isn't a way to deal with guard, it's just playing into the IG players strengths: low cost squads that can be sacrificed without a second thought. If he's mech'd up, then it's even worse. You've spent 250pts in getting into CC with a chimera.

Sure. Unless said IG army throws an empty Chimera in your way. Then your Land Raider is stuck in traffic and has to either sit still, waste a ton of movement going around the Chimera, or drop the deathstar out to either assault the Chimera (bunching them up to get Medusa'd) or foot slog. Either way, a disposable dedicated transport puts the brakes on your onrushing deathstar.

Teleport shunting dreadnights
Get em in fast and if they can into the artillery.
Guard are vulnerable to line disruption, they are not Tau who fire at nearly full effect while moving away from a threat.
Now the problem is how many you have to bring to properly disrupt the enemy line.
The assassin that pops out of a squad seems good for this but never seen him used.
