Very nice and detailed. The color of the ramp gives me ticks though

Very crisp paint job, but the model lacks depth so it comes off looking kind of toyish. A simple wash around rivets and in panel lines will bring depth out of the model. Good job though, keep it up!

Wow that's bright. With a bright scheme like that, I think some battle damage would look great!

Simple and bright, looks really swish and fancy, maybe a little less clean might work in your favour

Looks crisp and bright. Definatly needs some washes and highlighting. Other than that I'd say your 90% there

As the others have said, nothing in the Coast Guard is that clean after commissioning, lol. I'd say give it a healthy dose of weathering unless this is the first mission and it's manufactorum-new.

White and Red, the bane of my painting existance! Very well pulled off!
As mentioned, I would definately do a bit of weathering (even if ever so slightly) just to bring out the details like rivets and the intersection of plates.

Thanks for all the responses, everyone! I realize that it's a very bright and shiny paint job, but in all the photos I looked at in my research (and having seen a Jayhawk up close), I noticed that they're always very clean and well-maintained; I wanted to reflect this in my original paint job. I'm not above the notion that, in the 41st Millenium, maintaining an aircraft's paint job might be a fairly low priority. I'm planning to go back and add some weathering/battle damage as it sees more battles. So far I've only played a single game with it, and it got blown up while hovering to disembark troops Automatically Appended Next Post: tarnish wrote:Very nice and detailed. LOL! Yeah, I tend to leave the door closed. Looking at that ramp for more than a couple of seconds makes you go crosseyed

Outside paintjob looks good. Like you say, real world craft don't have rivets you can see easily because they're kept clean to stop stuff like rust and other gunk building up.
Why not add battle damage but otherwise keep the nice clean look.
You might want to add a spot of pva glue or similar to some of your displays to give that glassy lens look.

Really like the colour scheme, as someone mentioned above, I'd agree it lacks a little depth without some washes or shading. I'd love to see it with a little more depth to it because I like the red on white.
