I've had passing interest in bloodbowl for some time, but in order to get it I have to go through complicated means, and that's just kind made me not focus on it too much. However, during a spur of the moment idea to swing by the not so friendly LGS, I saw that they had a 3rd edition blood bowl for sale for 60 bucks. After tax it was like 65 or so. It was crammed and taped shut, and the box looked pretty beat up. I figured if it was missing stuff I'd bring it back.

Well, I get home and cracked it open. All players still on sprue, most of the stuff hadn't been punched out, and it also had 3rd edition deadzone crammed inside with it. I can't find deadzone on GW's site, and ebay points me at about 20 bucks.

So yeah, was it worth it?

Sounds good to me. I mean GW still sell that same box set but for an obviously much inflated price so to get it cheaper is always a good deal.

The living rulebook concept that was running incorporated all of the DeadZone changes/amendments/improvements into the main rulebook I believe, so the rulebook that you get in the boxset from GW now is more or less the same as it has ever been but is 'updated'. The game is essentially the same as it has always been however.
