Is there such a thing as special rules for night lords models anywhere? If so could someone point me to them.

Not really. I think the most "Night Lord" rules are contained with the Storm Talon rules... A bit overprice but I am sure you could use a squad or two of them to bring the Night Lords to life.

No. There's no special rules for any legions outside the four cults.

I thought as much. Just saw the lovely new models and conversation kits and thought there might have been some fancy rules. Won't stop me using them though :p

Officially Nada. Someone might have done something themselves though that you can use in "friendly" games. Focus a bit more on assault troops and movement and you'll get the feel of the Night lords in your CSM force. Contrary to popular belief you don't *need* special rules to do any particular chapter or force with a generic list. It is more about unit selection than special rules.

True. Don't Raptors have Fear anyway? That's pretty close to Night Lords. Give them MoK for some extra Night Lordy rippin and tearin.

So? Just because they have the abilities of a mark doesn't mean that they have it fluffwise. Night Lords drop in, scare the crap out of you, and tear you to shreds. Even if they don't worship Khorne, it still makes sense to have them get Rage and Counter Attack.

Some do, but they are supposed to be more rare.

Aren't they supposed to be in the next HH book? They may get some 30k units at least...

I'm considering making my own NL character and seeing if my group allows it. Unmarked lord with Lightning claws and a jump pack, he makes one unit of raptors a troops choice.

So basically 4 fast attack slots, just like the old codex. Maybe if he joins the unit they don't scatter on a deepstrike, but IDK... that might be too powerful. I may just be jealous of Belial

May add some other things with their feedback.

Night lords aren't pure flight specialists, they just use a larger amount of raptors, but they still use a ton more foot troops. They prefer "Shock and Awe" type tactics, including better stealth, night missions, whatever they can use to get the advantage. Much of their army was comprised of basic foot soldiers, they just seemed to jump in by surprise regardless of where the enemy was.

I was actually gonna mark them up with slaanesh. Speed feels like it fits them and I'm sure some of the sonic weapons could be cool to have on them, notably a doom siren, without going too far from the fluff.
Have it spread a cloud of black poison night before the night lords spring fourth or something. Modeled to fit of course.

Use Huron, lots of raptors/bikes, and infiltrating CSM .

Well, I just stuck a thread for alternate marks in proposed rules, that turn a unit into an Iron Warriors/Night Lords/Word Bearers/Alpha Legion unit. I think they work pretty well, and fit with the Marked HQ/Altered FOC idea.

I think as long as I keep the marks the same (the night lords lord has the same mark as marines) no one can complain too much, I would think.
Like I would give iron warriors a nurgle mark to represent better armour.

Sadly I just can't bring myself to an undivided list when the marks are so good, but none of the gods really make me want to run up the table screaming for vengeance ether.

Ummm...so...this is using the tools in the codex to simulate the legion you want to play. Khorne marks help elevate troops in CC. Nurgle marks make troops tougher. Slaanesh marks make troops speedier, etc. Why do people feel the need to limit the way they look at and use a codex like this? Yeah marks can simulate those who are chaos worshippers, but can also be used to add specific flavor/character to your units based on the force you want to represent on the table. It is no different than taking Pedro Kantor in the C:SM and naming him Joe Schmoe for your own chapter so that you can have sternguard as troops in your force that is not Crimson Fists.

Thinking outside the box makes each codex more useful and adaptable to however you want to play your force.
