I'm really liking the power sword effect. Very nice. I may steal it. (I do Salamanders, too!)

It looks like you tried to do OSL on the plasma pistol in the last picture, but it doesn't look like it came out very well. Personally, I'd scrap it and paint over it. (Or re-try it.)

You've done a really good job with the decals (I know how hard those are!). I see you also picked up the decal sheet from GW. Sweet, isn't it? Do you use Micro Set to soften them up? I have to, or they always stick up.

Red lenses for your helms is an interesting deviation from the books. I've had it recommended to me, but yours look really good, and casts a heavy vote for red lenses in my own army. Thanks for showing me how it looks!

I like the blacked out greave on the beakie marine. Good way to keep the squad symbol in while keeping the heresy shoulder pad.

Your banner is pretty good, but I would maybe try to neaten up the 'I' a little bit, up close it looks a little shaky. Have you thought of investing in a Micron Pen? They are a godsend for doing freehand work.

Your shading is much better than mine. Do you use a wash? What kind? I may want to pick some up for myself.

Welcome to the Freakshow!

I wash the metal in badab black and the green I only use wash where I want the shade (Athonian camoshade). As for the decals, they are indeed sweet, but I only use water to soften them, can be a pain at times.

I also finished my dread... still needs its powerfist and Lascannon but heck

Love the flames. Its a nice shade of green. I may have to 'borrow' your usage of black on the dreadnought, my DIY is grey with black in the same places as salamanders and what you've done with the dread arms is just what my all-grey dread was missing.

Going to have to keep up with your progress, you're building up a sweet army.

That dreadnought looks great! I'm loving the bases too. Can you take some shots looking down at them?

I have seen a few lava bases before and these are up there with the best. did you add a gloss varnish or PVA to the top or is it GW wet effects?
