... some antidepressants.

According to the 40k wiki, the effect that Butchers Nails makes, is that it reduces serotonin levels and increase adrenalin.

Low serotonin/high adrenaline = Clinical Depression

And when i think about it, it makes sense. Aggressiveness and anger management problems are typical symptoms of a depression disorder. I know this first hand because i suffer from depression.

This made me look at World Eaters in a completely different light, and now i feel really connected to them. This also inspires me to start collecting a WE army. But having in mind GW's pricing tendencies, i can forget about that..

He also hated his dad.

Maybe he sat up late at night writing poetry, and listening to Radiohead too.

Anti-depressants wouldn't work on Primarchs, their bodies wouldn't be effected by such measly drugs/taking joke too seriously.

Also I believe those butchers nails effects described on 40k wiki are fan-fiction (which is tolerated on the site). From what I've seen, it simply is stated to increase rage and aggression without specific chemical reactions being stated.

The experiences of the Emperors Children Legion show that bringing drugs into the picture doesn't help.

Like the great storm of the Horus Heresy, the forces of the True Gods will descend upon the Emperor's minions. The stars will tremble at their passage and the mighty armadas of the Warmaster Abaddon will bring annihilation to a hundred worlds. Know this, for these things will come to pass.

Sorry bud, but that fluff is from "betrayer" .

I'm interested in a few examples of."fanfiction" that we accept on this site?

Great.

Now we're diagnosing the World Eater's as the Galaxy's most dangerous manic depressives.

What they are is 40K's two dimensional cardboard cut-out villains with an angrymaker stuck in their heads.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

Great, if Angron is a manic depressive, what does that make the rest of primarch.

Alpharius must suffer from agrophobia as no ever sees him in reality.

Don't trust 40K Wiki. The butchers nails may have had side effects of reducing seratonin and increasing adrenaline, but it did it completely differently from how depression can. Apparently, the nails altered Angrons brain, requiring lethal amounts of effort from Space Marine Psykers to change. Depressed people generally don't only feel good in the middle of battle. Also, , e Primarchs might not even have produced seratonin or adrenaline. They were, after all, veritable demigods that mortals couldn't approach physically.

You could have pretty much stopped there.

40k Wiki is not moderated for accuracy. Anyone can make up whatever claim they want about the background there.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

The source of World Eaters (and regular human's) aggression is high levels of adrenaline . Best way to lower high adrenaline in your body is through physical activity.

Now, what angry people usually do to make themselves feel better ? They shout, jump, smash things, get in a fight... Why ? That way they burn their adrenaline, and the experience itself feels liberating.

Now, the problem i see here, is that people identify depression with melancholia. Melancholia is just one of the symptoms of depression. Anxiety/anger management problems are equally there, especially with men.

While Angrons management style left much to be desired at least the staff meetings were short.
